I know this is not a big deal and can be fixed with creating my own frames but I wish the PIP frames did not have rounded corners. There should be an option at least to make the corners square, I just like the look much better and it would save me time. Otherwise I am very happy with PD 11 even though the DVD menu creator could still be better. John
Good point but i was referring to bevel as the rounding of the edges of the border. That is good idea to save the movement path. I was forgetting that there was that option. It still seems funny to me that the pip border option only gives you rounded edges. Thanks for the help
Thank you guys those are two work arounds but when i want to apply motion is double work because i have to match the path of both the frame or back ground box with my clip/ photo. There should be beveling control or at least an option for a square border without the rounded edges.
I have version 9 does version 10 have more options for creating a pip frame. Version 9 only has a beveled shape for PIP frame there is no ability to even make a square frame. There are shadow and transparency options but no bevel control . I know its possible to make my own frames but it would much easier if the bevel option existed.
More control of the preview menu video. More modern templates that put affects on the preview video. Windows DVD maker has some templates like that. Some title templates that are animates or have better effects that could make
titles more interesting.
Did power director 1 come out in 2001. Does any one remember what it was like to use any screenshots?
Thanks I tried that, you might be right . I am going to try to use shadow files because the lower light footage may tax it more. When i preview the footage from the file area its fine only flashes when playing from the time line
Maybe its a conflict
issue with my sanyo video camera because it only happens with footage shot in low light
when i switch to non reel time preview the problem goes away also
When I import and play Mpeg 4 videos in the preview screen the noise in the video gets greater and the goes to normal repeatedly cycling . When i produce the resulting footage does not have this affect. When i preview the raw footage with other players this doesn't happen either. Only when the footage is played from the timeline
This is quoted from captain
"Using your idea, Kevin, is great [size=9](unless you want the title to appear over something else)."

In this case I would produce my title track sequence seperately to a video file and then bring it back into the project and place it on a higher numbered Video Track and then place the "Zoom In" Effect directly on the produced Title Track. This way the title could Zoom In on top of a nother video clip.
I was told by a friend that video editing can wear out my hard drive. He said the software and the film footage should be on different hard drives because the hard drive has to switch back and forth alot. Also I have found information on the net that suggests that you should produce to a different hard drive. I have an external hard drive to back up but I never heard about this. Any thoughts?
It would be great if pd had and an option to do video clip slideshows. I know this could be done with pip windows but it would be great if there were templates like there is for picture slideshows. This would make producing title introduction videos easier and better. The templates would have a background and moving frames the fade in or out the same as a slide show except the user would pick 5 or 10 second videos to og in the frames instead of photos. Just an idea.
Try dvd shrink its freeware
Why is there no auto face tagging. Free photo programs have more features. I do like how the modifying section is setup. What would be great also is the capability to take out parts of a picture to make PIP objects.
I cant find a way to do it yet.
Very cool the moon is really small. I liked it with or with oout my speakers on.
Thanks i now remember seeing this post I am excited that this will help me quite alot in my current project.
I apologize if this was dealt with previosly but i cant find one listed anywere. I hope there is because i use the split button alot. Thanks
Is there a way to add a button to the chapter menu without adding a title with the button. I just want the preview clip to play on the button for each chapter with out any words under it. It takes alot of time to delete the title under each chapter button. Thanks
