Thanks for this.

I had a look at the post and tried to use the information provided. Unfortunately it only seems able to put the date of the first clip onto all of the clips... so back to using windv 123.

Thanks again....

PS hopefully this will be the last time I will have to import mini DV as I use a new digital format camera now.

Al
Hi,
I'm copying some mini dv tapes to my v9 copy.

Is there anyway to retrieve the dates particular scenes were taken?

At the moment I am having to copy the tapes to a hard drive using Windv-123 which copies each scene as a different filename which contains the date and time.

I'd rather copy straight to cyberlink if its possible to get the date and time information.

Is it possible?

Thanks Al
Brilliant - works a treat.

Thanks
Al
Thanks again.... I'll give it a try.

Hi,

I'd like to put a PD project file (a pds file) into a powerpoint 2010 slideshow. Each time I try to insert it I get an error saying that the required codec is missing.

Powerpoint does not seem to recognise a PDS file as a video file. I have to 'show all files' to see it in the list.

Do i have to convert the PDS file to another format? I can't use the original viedo file because the video was taken in a dark room and needed some work in PD9 to enable it to be seen clearly.

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to do this and if so where I can get the required codec from.

Thanks Al
Thanks, I'll give it a try and report back. Al
Can anyone tell me how to remove an orange cast I have on some video I took inside a sports hall?

Thanks Al
Thanks for your interest in this..

I have now resolved the issues.

Al
hmm...should there be a media file called 'Cyberlink\...(none)'

or put another way....do you have such a file on your system..?

Al
will do...but it may take a few hours as I'm supposed to be fitting some skirting boards at the moment....

Interestingly I have another almost identical copy of the same project which has no problems at all...

How do I find out which media files are missing from the msg 'cyberlink\...(none)'

Thanks for your time on this..
Al
Thanks I'll attempt to provide the information..

As far as I can ascertain there is no file called 'Cyberlink(none)'..but I'll have another look.

Al
Hi,

I appear to have acquired two issues....

1) When I load a particular project I get an error which says a file cant be found 'cyberlink (none)' if I choose to ignore this error the project plays just fine until I get to transition of some sort( some work ok some don't).

2) I then get a 'Front end media streaming error, try again or contact Cyberlink support'

any ideas welcomed as ever (pd9 ultra 32 bit)

Thanks

Al
You have to laugh..!

I'd still got the trial version in my recycle bin, so I restored it, used the extraction method suggested above..and guess what! it worked first time. So problem solved. Not sure why the file did not come down with the new download from cyberlink...does it need checking...I tried it twice to no avail....but lo and behold the file is in the trial version Data1.cab library..

thanks Al
I've downloaded PD9 ultra again and the file is still missing from data1.cab

file name is _c501011291b5548425dfe400cd51b2ec1..only thing I can think of is to download the trial version and then copy the file across...

any other ideas gratefully accepted..

Al
I should mention that I had no problem with this in the trial version I downloaded previously.

Al
Thanks for this very swift reply..It got me a step forward in that I was able to try to install it again.

However I got the following error:

"Error 1334 the file '_c5..then lots of numbers' cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in the cabinet file 'data1.cab'
This could indicate a network error, an error reading the cd-rom, or a problem with the package."

I bought and downloaded the program earlier today from the Cyberlink site.
Hi,

Right I bit the bullet and bought a copy of PD9 Ultra. I uninstalled the trial version and installed the real thing..

However Wave editor failed to install...no problem (I thought) I'll go back and re-do that later.....but

I can't find a way of just installing wave editor...its seems to want to install the whole lot again...

Can someone tell me how to install just wave editor please....thanks

Al

I recently took HD camcorder video at my grandsons birthday party. Part of the party was go-karting in a large sports hall. The hall was light with large sodium lights which have cast an orange glow over everything..I've tried to use the magic bits of PD without success.

Can some give me a few ideas on how to remove the organge glow please.

Thanks for taking the time to read this

Al
brilliant...thanks for your swift replies...

I dare say I will be back with other questions quite soon.. :

Thanks again

Al
Can someone tell me how to find out what type of PD I'm using...the usual way is to go to help then look at about...but I can find these options.

I've asked this once but had two conflicting answers...Can I use PD 9 Ultra 64 bit on a 32 bit (W7) OS? I want to buy now but am likely to update to 64 bit early next year and don't want to have to upgrade later if possible.

Is there a way to get menu items (file, edit etc.) to open as you float the cursor over them rather than having to click on each in turn..?

I've created project from some old family films (30 years or more) but they need to have some bits blurred out..is there a way of doing this without having to do it frame by frame....

As you can probably tell I'm fairly new to PD 9..but so far I'm liking it more and more. :
