Hi,

Right I bit the bullet and bought a copy of PD9 Ultra. I uninstalled the trial version and installed the real thing..

However Wave editor failed to install...no problem (I thought) I'll go back and re-do that later.....but

I can't find a way of just installing wave editor...its seems to want to install the whole lot again...

Can someone tell me how to install just wave editor please....thanks

Al

Thanks for this very swift reply..It got me a step forward in that I was able to try to install it again.

However I got the following error:

"Error 1334 the file '_c5..then lots of numbers' cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in the cabinet file 'data1.cab'
This could indicate a network error, an error reading the cd-rom, or a problem with the package."

I bought and downloaded the program earlier today from the Cyberlink site. Al

I should mention that I had no problem with this in the trial version I downloaded previously.

I've downloaded PD9 ultra again and the file is still missing from data1.cab

file name is _c501011291b5548425dfe400cd51b2ec1..only thing I can think of is to download the trial version and then copy the file across...

any other ideas gratefully accepted..

You have to laugh..!

I'd still got the trial version in my recycle bin, so I restored it, used the extraction method suggested above..and guess what! it worked first time. So problem solved. Not sure why the file did not come down with the new download from cyberlink...does it need checking...I tried it twice to no avail....but lo and behold the file is in the trial version Data1.cab library..

thanks Al Al

Wave Editor failed to install due to it being a trial version. I can not find a way to install from your forum so I want to uninstall and reinstall however I have a bunch of files already saved on my comp. from PowerDirector9 that I do not want to lose. How do I save those files so I recover them and access them when I reinstall.

Uninstalling and reinstalling shouldn't wipe out your project files, but just to be safe, you can use the File, Export, Pack to create a package of files of your project and copy that file to another location, preferably another drive. If, for some unknown reason (and strange things happen) the uninstall and reinstall deletes one or more of your project files, you can then just reimport your packed project file.

Hope this helps. Have a great day.
