While the clip is in the Library I have/know how to Extract Audio and save a wav.file.....

But,, I'm refering to a audio clip that has been edited down in the Audio Track, not the entire length of the audio file.
My last effort was just to remove everything but the edited audio track and produce it. This gave me a file, but it is not an audio file (type). Need an audio file for such things as back ground music for DVD menu / when creating dvd disc.
How does one save a portion of an audio tract that has been "split" from the video track. I would like to save it in a file to use in other pd projects, but when I in the pd edit screen I don't see the option. I tried right clicking the split audio track to copy, but I not sure how to get it onto my pc hardrive as its own file.

Thank you for any suggestions.

Thank you Jaime.

JL,

Is using the Power Director Script File (as a starter), similar to "packing project materials"? I recently found out how to do this export when I had to change computers in the middle of a prodject. I was having a hard time with browsing for all my files and then this forum came to the rescue again! So I've been doing this for all my finished projects just incase I needed to switch PCs again or if something bad happens. Would this still work if I had to reinstalled/ugrade the PD program?

Or, how does one do the method you described. I'm not sure exactly how to backup a file of that directory or use the pds file to launch PD (in your description). I am still learning and was hoping you could give the steps, if and when you have the time. Thank you.

Best regards,
Craig
Thanks for the handy tip Tony. Much appreciated.

JL_JL,

Thank you for the reply. I appreciate your time and I look forward to a time when I will be of assistance to someone on this forum as you are.

Mark,

Sometimes the Stabilizer will have this problem when added with a fade transition on a very select/few of my clips. When I undo the stabilizer, the transition to the next clip is smooth (in Movie view). As you stated, when playing clip to clip it seems fine.

Running Win 7 with PD8. When I open a new prodject, those pesky pics come into the library (Ginko.jpg, Maple Leaves, Nature, Saxophone, Street Light and Train). I remove/delete from library and then hit save, but when I close and re-open the project, they return in the Media Room.

I tried right-click and "delete from disc", its says:

Sample Clip can't be deleted.
The current permission settings do not allow...

I attempted reseting the permissions, but no luck on deleting the files. Is there another way,,, OR may someone assist me in the premission settings issue (maybe I'm not doing it right, being that I'm new to windows 7).

Thank you for any replies.

If anyone can help with this one!

If I copy a PD Project onto a new pc and then also copy all the video files that were being used on the old pc and put them on the hard-drive of the new one, how do you open the old project without having to browse for each file when the program is generating the project? There's got to be a simple way (on a big project, there could be quite alot).

Thanks for any response or links.
I got that info on the help > "about" PD.

I checked the start menu and the only program is this one. It shows CyberLink DVD Suite. Then I select Power Director and the program opens.

I cant see anywhere that says "PowerDirector 8".
The actual disk has a PD8 lable and a cd-key and SN#. would that help.
VERSION # 6.50.21.29
PowerDirector DE

The disc says PowerDirector 8 Deluxe

thank you.
When I open PD8 if briefly says v6
The clips inqestion are " Movie Clip (.mpg), and or Movie Clip (.MOD)". What do I need to do in order to make it work? (vidio is taken w/ Cannon FS20.

When I drag/drop my video into Pwr Dir 8., I can see video, but no sound. Volume is up, mute is off, and I can play/hear other clips. Do I have to convert these?
