Recently I had the misfortune of having 2 different BD projects failed at Authoring 99% before going to the burn step to a BD-RE. The authoring step is actually complete. Cycled the BD drive tray and one of the options was to use win explorer to burn the still blank disc. Decided to do that. In win 7 the popup window was for CD/DVD not BD and set the burn speed to 2x. 1.5 hours later the disc is ejected. A successful burn message and the option to burn more discs with the same files popped up. This burned 1080/60p BD works properly in my standalone BD player.
Findings:
- The BD burned at 1x speed instead of the 2x selected in win explorer for my 16x burner.
- The updated amazon cloud drive driver caused the problem which has since been removed. Edited the last project and recreated the folder and burned another BD with no problems or fails.
- Jeff’s message about burning a BD with no other software other than win explorer is correct.
Having Imgburn and P2Go gives more options such as labels, burn speed, etc. Win explorer by itself can do the job.
