Reference post: http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/51482.page#post_box_270180 .

Recently I had the misfortune of having 2 different BD projects failed at Authoring 99% before going to the burn step to a BD-RE. The authoring step is actually complete. Cycled the BD drive tray and one of the options was to use win explorer to burn the still blank disc. Decided to do that. In win 7 the popup window was for CD/DVD not BD and set the burn speed to 2x. 1.5 hours later the disc is ejected. A successful burn message and the option to burn more discs with the same files popped up. This burned 1080/60p BD works properly in my standalone BD player.

Findings:

  1. The BD burned at 1x speed instead of the 2x selected in win explorer for my 16x burner.

  2. The updated amazon cloud drive driver caused the problem which has since been removed. Edited the last project and recreated the folder and burned another BD with no problems or fails.

  3. Jeff’s message about burning a BD with no other software other than win explorer is correct.

Having Imgburn and P2Go gives more options such as labels, burn speed, etc. Win explorer by itself can do the job.

I am so happy you followed up on that, not that there was any question JL_JL would be correct, I just thought there was some special burning process, not a simple copy! Happy to learn, it's the REMEMBERING that can be so dodgy! HP Envy Phoenix/4thGen i7-4770(4@3.4GHz~turbo>3.9)

Using basic explorer to create a BD from PD folder structure has been around the forums for 5+ years http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/20582.page#post_box_109992 and mentioned several times since.

to reference a few, nothing new, several others documented success too.

Wow. Read those links. That is the 4th time you gave the same information and only the OP in the 3rd post acknowledged the information, tried it , and thanked you for it. The last poster Lanciae never acknowledged you and seem confused with the information you gave even on his last reply.

It looks like some of the good information passed in this forum can’t be digested or understood by the OP even if it is correct and understood by other readers. This help others!!laughing

I do not recall ever seeing those threads, and certainly I do not read every query/thread, just those that raise my interest or those I think it possible I might be able to help. But the accuracy and confidence with which JL_JL always posts makes me think he either has a huge database of catalogued links, or a photographic memory with few equals. Or both. Next topic please I think we are done here. HP Envy Phoenix/4thGen i7-4770(4@3.4GHz~turbo>3.9)
