So bad, seems that they didn't care their users' voice. frown

The only thing I really want is the ability to adjust the volume of a whole clip more easily. The only current way to do it is ridiculously difficult and time consuming.

It can't be all that hard to incorporate a feature to make this process much more user friendly.

Please?!

I would like the Preview volume to be the same as the Produced volume. .

PD13 ISO

Support has confirmed that we cannot create playable DVDs from the ISO img output feature in PDR13 without buying additional software - which is Power2Go 10. This leaves a valuable feature useless to us all.

Please include include a means of using this feature or include it the free version of Power2Go Essentials Free version.

AlS,
if you would have tried just a little bit, you would have downloaded IMGburn(free) and tried to burn your ISO. I did it for you, and it worked, very easily.
Furthermore you are using all cap letters, essentially yelling at Cyberlink for no good reason. HP Envy Phoenix/4thGen i7-4770(4@3.4GHz~turbo>3.9)
Nvidia GTX 960(4GB)/16GB DDR3/
Canon Vixia HV30/HF-M40/HF-M41/HF-G20/Olympus E-PL5.
Tape capture using 6 VCR, TBC-1000, Elite BVP4+, Sony D8 camcorder with TBC.

Thanks Barry,

I'll try to explain and please correct me if I am wrong.

Back to the thread https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/42989.page#222812 I started

and thread https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/43052.page

I have tried ImgBurn but as you know the PD13 ISO will not play if burned to DVD.

The only way I have found (after wasting several DVDs to test) is cumbersome at best and you cannot use the PD13 ISO. You have to use a playable DVD and copy the two folders, then use ImgBurn to Build a project and add the folders, then find Options and make sure File System is ISO9660+ UDF 1.02 (there are several UDF versions avilable). This is cumbersome at best and does not solve the problem of how to create a playable DVD from the PD13 ISO img. I also could not find anything the PD13 User Manual on how to use the ISO img. Though powerful, IsoBurn is hardly user-friendly

Fabbian (above thread) found that if he right-clicked on the ISO image and "Open With" Power2Go it would burn a playable DVD with one click. He did not purchase Power2Go so he assumes it came with his PD13 install from Disc. I downloaded P2Go tried it and it worked for DVD, BluRay, 2D and 3D. Quick (It created a Blu-Ray from the ISO in 3 minutes - PDR13 took over an hour to create the disc).

Once the P2Go 10 trial expired I was left with Essentials which opens the PD13 ISO but will not write to Disc. Error says "Upgrade".

I contacted Cyber Support and aked why Fabbian got P2Go with his PD13 and others did not, and if there was any way to use the ISO file from PD13.

They replied "In regards to your concern, I would like to inform you that you need to mount the ISO omage first in order to make the image playable when burned to a DVD. However, the feature to mount the image is not available in PowerDirector software. However, this feature is available in Power2Go 10. Please feel free to contact us back for any further clarification or for any assistance related to CyberLink Products."

My interpretation of the reply is that PD13 users cannot use the PD13 created ISO. So back to my request that Cyberlink should provide us with either a playable ISO file, or give us the P2Go Write to DVD with P2Go Essentials (free). I don't want or need any of the other P2Go 10 Ult features. Why should I have to spend $90 on additional softwate?

If I "yelled", at least it got your attention, so I'm hoping Cyberlink noticed as well. To me this is an Urgent product improvemet to either give us the option in PD13 to "Create Disk" from the ISO or add the feature to P2Go Free version.

The ISO img is a great feature to create DVD's as needed quickly and easily - if we had the tools.

Warm Regards,

Al laughing

"I have tried ImgBurn but as you know the PD13 ISO will not play if burned to DVD."
That is factually incorrect.
I created a DVD ISO using Powerdirector, and burnt it to a playable DVD using IMGburn. It took just minutes, and I had never used the program before.

This is not the correct thread to continue this, so I'll not answer on this topic here.

Hi Barry,

I used BillW's instructions in the thread after creating an unplayable DVD with ImgBurn so I may have made a mistake. Point is, I don't think I should have to get, or learn, 3rd party software to use PDR13 fearures - or be forced to buy additional software. Hence, my suggestion in this thread.

Possibly make SVRT work for variable frame rate content.

Since mobile phoned video quality is getting better and better they are more and more being used as source material.

Please allow the PD user to change the editor color scheme from all black to other options. All back with super-thin fonts is confusing. When you get a pop-up you can't tell the pop-up window from the background window. I belive other products call these "skins". At age 72 the new editor user interface colors are hard to see what's what. Thanks! Previously known as PDuser97031 (had to create a new user after changing email address)

I’m really impressed with PD. It’s fast & really user friendly.
What I want PD to have is 70’s style rotoscope or “Waking Life” (2001)(R.Linklater) movie like effect.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xX10vQEa56E

Developers can achieve that. Moving person or a thing can be selected at first, for the background other effects parameters may be selected thru filters list. Such a rotoscope will be something else.

I share this tip. It would be useful to change the tone of the background individually

I think this painfully obvious video about Motion Tracking (and PD's lack of it) pretty much sums up my feature request:

Please update PowerDirector to be compatible with NVIDIA drivers newer than 337.88 (5/26/2014). Those of us with perfectly good CUDA video cards can't update to the latest NVIDIA drivers, because if we do then PowerDirector no longer recognizes and uses hardware acceleration. This is not an NVIDIA problem, it's a CyberLink problem. Software needs to be upgraded to be compatible with newer drivers so the we can exploit the best from both PowerDirector and NVIDIA.

Please don't get into a finger pointing game, just update PowerDirector per the instructions on the web for using CUDA enhanced video cards.

Thanks!

p.s. While some might feel a monochrome all-black user interface is good, I would prefer all-white if you want to go monochrome, or "shades of grey". Creative use of interface colors can actually increase productivity.

Improve the efficiency of the image stabilizer.
PD stabilizer is good but I would be great if render time can be reduced.
When enabling the "Enhanced stabilizer" option and producing or render previewing a section PD cpu usage is only 50%-60%, not sure why it is not using more. Win8.1 Pro x64 / Dual x5670 / 24GB / GTX960 4GB / 240GB SSD + 640GB HDD / PD13 Ultimate

I agree, even if CL can't improve thier image stabilizer, how about CL allowing/working out how to allow the NewBlueFX plugins NewBlueFX image stabilizer to work as just a plug in?

We already have a good selection from NewBlueFX, one more wont hurt!

Cheers I just want to edit and make pictures, walk my dog and go fishing.

Please add an option to adjust Shadow File generation priority, or an option to use more CPU or use GPU for the file generation. It uses just 20% in my system for 4K files which seems low, and generating them is slower than actually producing a video file at 1080p. I 100% agree with you.

I run a Nvidia Quadro 2000, decent card, but have no added functionality from it. I have to rely on my i7 4770... It does ALL the work!

PLEASE CyberLink, help us out!!! Let us us our good graphics cards and not let them lie dormant!!!

Hi members,
A while a go when this thread first started, I drew CyberLink's attention to it. I asked the other day to see if the whole thread with the many contributions and numerous hits was still being monitored. I'm pleased to tell everyone that the thread is still monitored by CyberLink and a number of the suggestions are being actively taken up/investigated for inclusion in PowerDirector.

Keep the suggestions flowing.

Dafydd
