Quote: PowerDVD has an evident problem with WIN7.... if you don't want an aero theme enabled (so a classic theme enabled) PowerDVD will not show any text or menu....
PowerDVD 9 (and 10) are not FULLY compatible with Win7....

Power DVD Ultra 10 as well as the Corel WinDVD (newest version) crash in my setup of Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. Nero Show Time runs everything fine. Go figure. Have returned POwer DVD for refund.
Quote: Same problem,
Windows 7 X86 Home Premium (french);
ATI 5670/Catalyst 10.3
Aus Xonar STX sound card.
No antivirus software (the machine has no internet connection in normal use)
Nothing happened after the launch, but I could find powerdvdserver.exe run in background.
I could start PowerDVD 10 in safe mode only.
Best regards,
Sylvain

Quote: Hi,

ok I see - PowerDVD is installed.

from the filename I can see you got a upgrade Version - can you please confirm that you bought an upgrade or an full version?

Michael

Upgrade. Have upgraded PowerDVD since many years ago when bought the first program. 9 Ultra worked fine.

For what its worth, reinstalled everything from PowerDVD7 up. Ran fine through 9, Update 1. At Update 2 and 3, program stopped working.

Interesting. It is physically in the Program Files (X86)\Cyberlink folder. PowerDVD10 is the .exe file name.
