I haven't had a lot of time to look around my Photodirector to see if it has resizing capabilities. I am needing to resize a 4X6 into a 6X4. Can anyone tell me if it has these capabilities?
Once again YOU ARE THE BOSS!!! Thanks so much . . . this will mean so much to his mother.
PIX,

Thank you for your response. You are always so much help. I did actually figure out how to load it in Paint.net and use the paint can to turn the background black but still have a line outlining the subject.

any suggestions on how I can get rid of the line . . .
I am using Photodirector 3 and have a baby picture that had water damage. I have fixed the picture and it looks great but would like to change the background color to black.

I have gone into background removal and selected and removed the background but cannot figure out how to make it black. The help section states "If required, click the Background Color button and select a color for the extracted part of the photo. If you don't set a background color, the extracted part is transparent in the new photo."

I don't have a "Background Color Button" . . . I do have a "Color Board" in the "Fine Tune the Edge" section . . . I was able to get it to black in the picture but when I save it . . it doesn't save the black background . .it reverts back to white.

Any suggestions? I'm trying to help a friend out whose house burned down and this is the only baby picture of her son she was able to salvage.

Thanks.

Pix,

Thanks. I'll use them . . . I like to have a wide variety . . I'm a little new at all this photo editing and am creating my sons senior pictures and am having a lot of fun doing it. These will make it a little more fun in experimenting. Thanks again. I did as you said above and it worked perfectly.
Pix,

You are the BEST!!! Everytime I have asked a question you have been fabulous at answering it and showing me what I need to know.

Thanks again.
I currently have Photodirector 3 although I am asking cyberlink about a free upgrade to Photodirector 4 since I upgraded to 3 just 3 days before 4 came out.

What I would like to do is create a "jagged edge" or "burned edge" effect on some of my pictures. Is this possible in Photodirector?
Can anyone help me? I have a new Sony HD Handycam that I video my sons football and soccer games on. My handycam records in AVCHD. My first problem is I cannot import the video to PD9 directly from the camera like I used to be able to do with my older camcorder.

The second issue I am having is when it comes to producing the video or trying to burn it directly to a disk. After importing the video to my computer and then importing it from the desktop into the software where I can do what I always do with transitions, music, etc.

When I try to Produce the video - I have tried Mpeg2, Mpeg4, H.???, and something else . . . it will start producing and then just freeze and not continue at different percentages or it will give me an error "Front end graph streaming error". If I try to burn it directly to a disc then it gives me an error so far into it.

My video is on approx. 24 minutes long.

Any suggestions? Do I need to upgrade to PD10? I have used Powerdirector for years with my sons sports videos and have not run into this type of problem.
Thanks so much . . . I knew it was easy . . . I usually edit video not photos . . . just couldn't figure out the right terminology . . . thanks again.
I am working on my sons senior pictures and have one that I want to change to B&W but leave one object in color and I just can't seem to figure out how to do it. I'm sure I'm just not looking for the right terminology.
