Hello, kmjk333!
Be extremely cautious here! The product might not be genuine. If they're flogging it off at such a low price it might be a copied version and you may experience difficulties when installing it as PD14 requires the internet to finish the activation process, as well, the CDKey may be duplicated from the original. What looks too good to be true, usually is too good to be true!. Best to trust reputable dealerships when it comes to video editing software or any other product.
Cheers!
Neil.
yes, it is a unheard of price $29!! I had to look twice.
Newegg is probably the largest retailer for computer related parts. They could outsell amazon, but #2 for sure. I have bought from newegg for years and build several complete system part by part. Excellant customer service.
They are legit, and one hell of a price. = more forum members!!

you are testing "Ultra", the next upgrade to Ultimate has the "Premium Effects Plugins and Templates" that is missing in your Ultra.
http://www.cyberlink.com/products/powerdirector-ultimate/features_en_US.html?&r=1
Bring more cinematic tone to your videos with more 3rd party plug-ins from world-renowned sources such as NewBlueFX, Pixelan and proDAD.
edit: your 2 youtubes you are wanting to duplicate is nothing compared to what you can do with PD14 Ultimate. Your videos are basid stuff for me now
Check out Director's Zone. Free submissions from other PD users and very creative. You just download and double click the exe and they end up in your libary. 1,000 of good stuff!! Works with PowerDirector

You are welcome. I made the same suggestion in another forum and changing to MP4 did the trick. Thanks for posting back. 2 for 2

There is A PCM option. Is that the same thing? Also I am just a little confused because the video file works fine on its own. It's just when I bring it into PD that it dosn't work.
I also do 4K gaming video's using BandiCam. My settings: File type MP4/Audio Codex AAC
The problem I had with File Type AVI, is the sound was good, the video was at 2X speed. Almost the other way around for me.
Video and audio sync'ed up when I use the MP4 file type. Actually no other audio option with Mp4, just AAC (using PD14)
Does that mean you have your audio sync problem solved?
AAC audio does not have the same problem with syncing as MP3 variable rate.
Originally it was my avi video settin gwas running too fast for the audio. It was suggest on youtube to not use avi, but MP4.
MP4 works perfectly for me both audio and video.

I have 3 monitors and opens up full screen. No solution at Cyberlink support, so I gave up and will just drag one side of the window closer
And I also just bought PD14 which is a great product

You got a kick ass motherboard and CPU, 64GB of RAM and your video card came up very weak.
If you want to depend on your video hardware to work for 4K video's, don't go light with a 760
You could probably get by with 16GB of RAM, but the price keeps dropping so it is your buy. Depending on your PD14 settings (my example) the highest usage of RAM was 10.5GB, but that was without stressing the video card during encoding. This was 4K gaming video's of mine.
This is a very good resource and helpfull forum on picking parts, and building a new system

Let me try again. I am looking for a greater compressed "produce" file than my current settings without loss of quality. I dont know if PD14 has other options. My output is 4K gaming vidoe at setting of H.264/MP4. Is this one of the best options in PD14? I tested H265 and XAVC S and all 3 about the same 2.1GB final video file.
Is H.264 + MP4 the correct setting for my situation?
Thanks
edit: the above 1st post mentioned crashing using H.265/MP4. I fixed that, I enabled "hardware acceleration" in Preferences. A 4K 7:26sec gaming video was produced in 8:03mins. CPU usage 30-45%, GPU 130F/54C.....I am shocked how fast PD14 processed this video file flawlessly. Great Software

And I am amazed how some people can be rude even when asking for help.
Like I said, surround mode is not compatible. I have two monitors on my nVidia, setup in Windows "Display Settings" (not in nVidia CP) as "Extend".
PD opens in full screen only on ONE monitor and I can move it on whichever I want.
"surround mode is not compatible", do you have a link to the source of this not working with surround? The emails back and forth with cyberlink have not mention it would not work with single window in surround.
Sorry about my comment, it was rude and my frustration was showing

Sounds like your using the Matrox Triple-Head-2-Go???
Please describe your monitor setup.
I have three monitors but each one is connected to a different port on my Vidcard.
NO, but I have one to sell Same set up as yours.
One 980 video card, 3 monitors connected by HDMI (2) and DisplayPort (1-4k) resolution 5760 X 1080
Nvidia Surround Sound
So if you have 3 monitors, how does yours open, like normal window?? I have Win7 64bit

What is working for me is taking my in-game 4K MP4 video from BandiCam game recording and rendering in PD14 as "MP4/H.264". The original file from BandiCam for 3:01min video is 7.4GB, final file from PD14 is 1.0GB
I was working with avi files, but nothing but troubles. laggy, sound not synced, freezing, play back horrible. You name it, nothing but bad news. MP4 seems to work well for me.
Will H.265 have better compression without loss of video? I tried last night, CPU running 100% (5960X) and came back it had crashed. Will try again tonight.
Other suggestions for better compression witout loss of video?? Any PD14 settings to reduce the stress of a high end computer?
Thanks

Had PD14 for just a few days. 4K gaming video's uploaded to youtube are "perfect".
When I double click the PD14 desktop icon, the program spreads across my triple monitors as 5760 X 1080. I only want PD14 to open up on one monitor.
What I have done:
1-Changed the desktop ICON "RUN", to normal window, minimize, maximize and all three options have no change.
2-I know you can hit the upper right corner box, to "restore down", but no change, PD14 spread across all 3 monitors
If no one has a simple solution, can I get directed to a program file and I can change the configeration to say 1980 X 1080, or similar??
Thanks
