I am sorry Xerox, but seems to me that you did not properly understand my problem.
My problem is just OVERLAP mode transition, I wrote about it in my third message.

Thank you for an answer. Probably you are more experienced user in NLE's than I am, but let me still have a doubts.
Tell me, why I have not this type of problem, when I use Keyframe button and changing opacity between two clips
As I understand, my GPU and memory and CPU do the same work unimportant, what sort of transition (I mean keyframe or added to PD) I have chosen, am I right ?
CPU and GPU power have influence on rendering time not quality or faults, am I right ?
please, explain my doubts

I edit AVCHD clips from my Canon HF100 camcorder (1920x1080i 17 Mbps).
Sorry, but I am not going to change my video card for ONLY to have proper fade transition effect.
In my opinion this "feature" is not GPU intensive (as for card memory or GPU), of course I may be wrong.
I switched off in EDIT->PREFERENCES->HARDWARE ACCELERATION - no change.
It seems, that I have to live with it ....

I cancelled my message. Sorry.

OK, I sacrified my lazy time to deeper research of my problem.
So, if I use CROSS option I can manage proper fading effect between two clips (the same result if I would use keyframe option with 0 opacity parameter on both edges followed clips).
Problem appears, when I would like to have an effect like in keyframe option with let say 20 value parameter on both edges (it is OVERLAP option).
When I move forward my movie frame by frame I can see that many frames after my first clip is ended, I STILL HAVE "frozen" picture (last frame from the first clip) in the "background" of my second clip (with less opacity than 100 of course).
In my opinion this is not a normal situation, am I right ?
My processor is Core2Duo 3 GHz, and video card is NVidia 9600GT with the newest drivers (upgraded an hour ago)
cheers

Please, somebody help me
I spend a lot of time to make (as a "handmade") my preferred transition (fade) among my clips.
I wrote about my problem a couple of weeks ago, because of no answer I gave up and make it by "keyframe" option changing opacity of my joined clips.
It take a lot of time Fade transition included in PD9 has a big fault, even on my TV (somebody told here that this problem appears ONLY on PC) I can see "that last frames om my joined clips are frozen !!!!
It looks very, very bad.
What should I do to save my time
Nobody has the same problem ?
Please, help me

Does somebody help me ?

Yepppp!
You are definitely right, so seems to me that this value (1000 kb/s) is "hard coded" in the software (in my opinion it is not a problem)

tell us a little bit more about your PC specification.
Did you upgrade your PD7 to the last version ?
|
|
Simple question:
is it possible to do this in PD7 ?
I cannot.
When I try to add another clip on the beginning of the project, all music tracks don't move as I want.
I remember this option was present in Ulead software.

Thank you for your answer, but there is a little misunderstanding (probably my bad English is the problem ).
I asked about DVD menu which is created during authoring activity (not in edition).
If you take a commercial DVD you have a choice among different languages, so if I can see a couple of audio tracks in PD the question is natural: can I do the same im my production ?
I woluld like to have an option to play my movie with original voice or with my commentary.
I hope I clearly presented my problem.
PS. Sorry for changing my nick (I am still Grzegorz)
