On 5/21/09 Dafydd Bevan stated that the fix would be in the next patch.

Patch 3017 came out on 6/24/09 & as far as I can tell, the AVCHD rendering issue has not been fixed in this patch.

Does anyone have an update?
So if I'm undertstanding you correctly Deb, originally you were trying to burn the project to DVD while the raw video files were on an SD card connected to your computer. I'm not sure anyone would have had success this way. Most of us transfer the raw video files to a more functional drive (My Book works great) on our computer before beginning a project. SD drives are mostly used for transferring files & also some limited functionality (view pixs, docs, etc,)
Once you had the files moved to My Book & redirected the file path so PD could find them, it sounds like burning became easy.
Glad to hear you are things are going better for you.
Hi Deb
Go into Windows Media player under "RIP">"More Option" >"Rip Music"

Uncheck "Copy Protect Music"

Before importing to the library.....Always make sure the ripped file has not been copy protected.
The work around for this appears to be burning it to a "DVD Folder" first.
Burning the DVD from the folder is almost always succesful.
I am also having a confusing experience trying to upload to YouTube. Working with .MTS files & exporting to YouTube w/PD did not produce an acceptable quality video.
Yesterday, with the help of this discussion, I was able to download & install "Super". The problem is Super will not accept a MTS file but will convert a "M2ts" file. Simply changing the file extension of the original MTS file to M2ts causes an error in Super. Converting the MTS file to M2ts in PD did result in a usable file for Super but was time consuming. Also, all the cross conversions cause further degredation.
What is the best route for me as far as PD is concerned in getting files on YouTube?
