Thanks guys for confirming.
The only thing that has been changed to the render process is following:
- Produce just a selected range of your project in the Produce window.
Maybe this (unnecesary) new feature causes the trouble. When I want to produce just a range of my project, I prefer to make the range selection directly on the timeline as used.

OK thank you Optodata, I just send a report to Cyberlink.

Thanks for the screenshot. To my knowledge you can't use SVRT for AVI or many of those other other encoding types.
If your drone clips are HEVC or AVC encoded you MUST use a matching HEVC or AVC profile for SVRT to have a chance to work.
But I could do before, DV_avi is standard smart rendered by any NLE. With PD, I could smart render my HDV (mpeg2) and AVCHD (mts) without issues. Last week I was even able to smart render HEVC files (output from Vegaspro timeline render).
Since I did the update a few days ago I'm not able to smart render any format that I could smart render before. It's definitely a bug in the last PD365 update.

I just did also a test with some older formats, like DV, HDV and AVCHD. None of them use SVRT render annymore, it's even not possible to activate...

Did you previously create a custom profile that let you use SVRT? If so, does thyat no longer work? If not, do you get any Intelligent SVRT results when using the Profile Analyzer on the Produce page?
No, previously created profiles and also new created profiles using Profile Analyzer, don't use SVRT anymore.

Since latest March update I'm not able anymore to use SVRT rendering on my DJI Osmo Pocket 4k50 footage. I cannot use SVRT at all.

Using the SVRT does minimal changes to the video, but can be used only if the editing is limited to cutting and clipping of original video. It will change the video around the edges of the clips, because it has to "match" the two video streams control points.
Yes and this works fine with most (AVC) coded video, but not with Gopro (AVC) video, the changed video around the edges have visible other levels than the orginal footage.
PD also cannot SVRT render Gopro (HEVC) video, so whole video will be "changed".

|
PD is able to SVRT render Gopro footage, only issue I have (Hero7) is that there is a viewable difference in levels for those parts (transitions etc) that have been re-rendered and the SVRT render. The re-rendered parts are brighter. So better do not use SVRT render for Gopro footage but re-render (with best matched) the whole project instead.

I recently upgraded my workstation (see my signature) and use also PD19. My footage is 4k50 (2160p50) and I'm very satisfied about editing and render timings. No need for shadow files anymore. My render output is mostly 1080p50.

I think this effect is a combination of two location markers from Travel 4 and a drawn line made with Paint Designer. Changing the color of the second location marker can be done with Replace color FX.

I will try next week to swap the data HDD's (6 and 2 TB) from my old workstation into the new workstation and expect that all my media and projects are accessible again for PD. Probably easier.

Since this week I have a new workstation, transferring my PD365 subscription was no issue with application Manager, only that I had to download everything again, which took a while with my slow internet connection.
Now I would like to transfer the few projects I made on my old workstation to the new workstation, what is the easiest way to do that? I used in those projects also shutterstock music. I thought the easiest way is to pack those projects, but on my old workstation PD365 gives a message that's no longer available, because the subscription has been transferred.
Can I reactivate PD365 on my old workstation just for the time to pack my old projects and swap the subscription than back to the new workstation?
I made also a lot of Titles, Overlays etc on the old workstation, how could those be transferred to the new workstation?

I would prefer that PD starts with no tracks at all and that depending on what (audio, video, audio+video, text, fx, overlay etc) and where you import it on the timeline (on track, below or above) it automatically adds a audio track, a video track or an audio+video track.
Also I would prefer a key shortcut for quikly adding audio, video or audio+video tracks instead of the track manager.

I hope for your family member that he wasn"t watching an optodata video production in his living room when this happened. This is a real huge damage to the house and makes it uninhabitable. Hopefully he's also a good insurrance.

Thanks for showing me the possible screen combinations.
I record in 4k but still produce in 2k. On my 65" UHDTV at normal viewing distance, I don't see a difference between the original 4k recording and the downscaled 2k version of it. The downscaled 2k version just looks great despite the less resolution and a bitrate and file size far less then the original recording. So I don't directly see a need to judge the full 4k resolution on my editing monitor. So I'm still considering between a 3840x2160 monitor or a 3440x1440 monitor.
By the way, it seems you have more experience with PD than with cutting a tree....

Thanks for showing Optodata. 5K looks great but will be also (a bit) too expensive (I just spend 2300 Euro for a i910900k workstation). As you say that you prefer also a 4k, I think I will go for a 28" 4k monitor (16:9).
Just one more question, is it possible on your 21:9 5k monitor to split up the PD view like on a two monitor setup, means full preview on the right side of the monitor and timeline on the left side?

|
Has somebody experience in using an ultra wide 21:9 monitor (3440x1440) with PD? Advantages and Disadvantages?
Many thanks in advance for sharing your experience.

This issue is just in PD19/365. In PD18 it works as expected. So this seems to be a (minor) bug in PD19.
It looks to me the same issue as I reported earlier (https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/84385.page )when I missed a row pixels at the bottom and the right side in the rendered output.
|
|
Sometimes I simulate a 21:9 aspect ratio by putting a overlay mask on a overlaytrack. In PD365 this overlay doesn't completely hide the video track, it leaves a small border on the right side an on the bottom of the video track visible.
To better show what I mean I put a black color board on the overlay track and made a screenshot of PD365, The black color board is not completely hiding the video on the video track.
Can somebody confirm this bug?
