coalman,
Glad your problem is resolved. Yes, the cleaner will clear what's been installed. Some registries rely on others and app may not be able to launch if any of the critical component is not installed/registered during installation process. The best is clean everything before trying fresh installation.

matthiasscorp,
I haven't given up resolving your issue. Please refer to my PM for my follow ups and let me know if you're ok with it.

Regards,
Brandon
Wow, that was easy, quick and hard to believe. Never occur to me that this can be resolved with simply re-installation. Shame to say: I'm still unable to reproduce what you experienced. Sad! I'm glad the mysterious issue is resolved with a miracle.

Regards,
Brandon

Hi Fabrice,
Please help upload your images here.

Thanks,

Hi Fabrice,
The over exposure area RGB values in the thunder picture are either R(255) G(255) B(255) or very close to these values. I've reported your case back to our product team to check if any possibility of tweaking.

Regards,
Brandon
Nice, Tony!

Hi,
I can't reproduce what you've reported. Can you please help follow guides described in http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/17741.page

Regards,
Brandon
Hi,

Seems your site requires membership to download your file. Can you pls upload your log in this forum?

Thanks,
Brandon
Hi,
Quote: How can I:
1) Add folders to a project
2) Move images between folders

There seems to ne no way to do this via the Photodirector interface. Certainly drag and drop to move photos is not supported

1) Import -> Folder...
Select the photo folder and import. The newly imported folder will be displayed in Folders under Project.
2) No, you can't move images around folders.

Regards,
Brandon
Hi SNRSachse and Tony,
I can reproduce that too. I'll escalate this to product team.

Brandon
Quote: I think my case must be desperate , I seem to be the only one to experience this problem, I could never use this wonderful software.
A if only there was another way to import photos without using this dialog.

1. I need the entire system info log file (DxDiag.txt) for our engineers to study.
2. Can you pls help download the attached file, CLTracker_v1620.zip. After unzipping it, double click on CLTracker.exe. It will generate a log file called CyberLinkLog.zip. Pls help upload this file to this thread too. This .exe only will collect your installed PhotoDirector 2011 app information and nothing else.

Please correct me if I misunderstood your steps:
1. Installed PhotoDirector 2011 Beta.
Run the app -> App runs fine
2. Installed PhotoDirector 2011 v1816.
- Run the app -> App runs fine
3. Update your system
- Run the app -> Import dialog cannot pop up anymore.

Regards,
Brandon

Hi matthiasscorp,
Yes, this is still under investigation. As far as we can see now from your log: you were running installation while another installation was taking place. We're still trying to identify if it's the root cause. Seems to us that your case could be different from others.

Regards,
Brandon
How about follow http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/17741.page and supply us with the needed info? I'll pass this back to our product team to investigate.

Brandon
Hi JUB1L,
You can also try "Shrink to Fit".

Hi All,
I've sent free copy with dedicated CDKEY via PM to those of you who provided me with your name and email, also the evidence of valid survey submission. You have your copy and have fun.

If you did not receive your copy and CDKEY from me, please help provide your survey submission copy (with time stamp) and I'll help.

For those who are still wondering why you haven't received your copy, please provide me with the needed info and I'll help.

Regards,
Brandon
Hi tonybeau, broph, and matthiasscorp,
Can you please help list down your security software and it's build number? I like to study them and see if this is the root cause.
Since security software may not be the cause for every app not launch issue, please use "matthiasscorp" to generate your log file and upload it (as what matthiasscorp did). I need these info to study what's causing your issue.

Thanks,
Brandon
Hi Rick and Chad-46,
Please send me the name and email that you use to submit your survey. I cannot do anything without them. As long as your survey submission is earlier than Jun 20, you will be eligible, but info first.

Regards,
Brandon
