I have been using Power Director for several years and started using 16 in October. Last week I created a short video and saved it/produced the same way I do all of my videos. I tried to use that short video as a trailer to other videos and the second it starts to play, PD crashes and closes. The file can not be played at all. PowerDirector can't play it without crashing and closing every time. It is as though the file it created is corrupted.
Earlier today, I spent hours on a project. I finished it and uploaded it to YouTube, and YT said the file could not be processed.
I opened the video in PD and once again, it crashed and closed.
I opened the saved pds file ( I always save one as I am working along the way through a project) and RE-produced/rendered the video all over again. Once again, the same thing has happened. I can play the whole video all the way through in the workspace with no issue. But as soon as I render it into a finished Mp4, and is crashing everything.

I have not changed any settings in PD16, everything is as it has always been, but this seems to be happening with no reason or known cause, on a random basis. I ahve lost hours of work. Every time it happens, it sends a crash report to Cyberlink, but that doesn't do me any good. I love PowerDirector and really don't want to have to learn a whole new editing program. But I will have no other option if I can't find out what is causing this.

Has there been any updates/resolution with this? I've begun having this sort of issue. the last video I did, finished it up, rendered it and uploaded it into YouTube and it was upside down in YT. Looked at the final file on my computer...whole thing was upside down. I then uploaded it directly into YT from PD16 and it worked fine.
Just finished another video, and the completed file looks fine. I went back to the editing panel to grab a thumbnail and BAM! Every file was upside down again!!!!
I closed the project and reopened it, and this time it looks fine. This is infuriating!! Spend all this time on a project and then having to fiddle around and play games to try and NOT have it flip over?
Please tell me there is an update or something. This is two times in a row. I LOVED PD14....now I am wishing I hadn't upgraded.

Yes - very simple - select Produce tab and in there select H.264AVC button, that should produce a you an mp4. Once there you can easily make your own profile to select personal parameters such as frame rate, audio compression etc.

I just switched from PD14 to PD16. In the past, I could produce and save my videos as an MP4 file. I would then upload and schedule my videos for my YouTube channel.
How can I do this with PD16? I do not want to upload directly from the program to YouTube because it doesn't give me scheduling options, nor does it include any of my channel defaults (descriptions, tags, etc.) I do not want to have to do this manually every time I add a video to my channel.
I've searched all over for this option, tutorials, etc, but to no avail.
Help?
