For best results, adjust your "Produce" options to mimic your input video specific fps or use "Profile Analyzer" to recommend settings and then verify.
Jeff
So what is your suggestion on using 30fps/29.976fps footage or higher fps in a 23.976fps to get that.... "dreamy" feel?
or 60fps DJI Drone footage in 23.976fps timeline?

As title is suggesting. The timeline setting in PowerDirector only has 30fps and 24fps. But is it 29.97/23.97 or actual 30/24fps?

I also have a GTX 1070 and Kaby Lake architecture with the UHD Pioneer Optical disc. Unfortunately my Asus Maximus VIII Ranger does not have an HDMI 2.2 port, I believe I can use the display port with an adaptor to get around this but have not verified.
I just want to vent and say it is pretty lame that I can't use my Nvidia GPU HDMI 2.2 port for playing back purchased 4k HDR media. Switching back and forth between the GPU for everyday computing/gaming and to the iGPU just for watching 4k movies is a clugey mess, not to mention a PITA. Just write the SW so I can use my superior graphics card processor instead of the weak intergrated Intel BS. Let Intel unlock the HDMI 2.2 stream and send it to my Nvidia GPU HDMI 2.2 port for viewing so I am not switching back and forth between GPU's.
Weak sauce CyberLink.
I think you meant HDMI 2.0a/b ports as there isn't a HDMI 2.2 port...there is however HDCP 2.2 protection method.....
Only this year 2017, HDMI2.1 was introduced

the problem is still not fix for us nvidia users even with the last power dvd update 1808
why ??
Although the nv gpu model has very powerful computing power, it does not present it can play anything without others compatiblity support.
they don't claim support the hdr for nvidia gpu at the begining.
I may consider it is not a issue-fixing, but adding a feature or compatibilities.
No offense, let's not being so harsh. What do you think?
mayne they will add this feauture
I just want to chime in with my experience with PowerDVD 17 with HDR
I have 2 systems
- HTPC with a Titan X Pascal -> LG OLEDC7P which support Dolby Vision and HDR10 (Haswell)
- Main PC with SLI Titan Xp -> Samsung KS8000 which support HDR10 (Broadwell-E)
Both PC is on the SLOW Ring for MS update so it's on the 7/17 update. My experience with PowerDVD 17 has been on and off; hit and miss. Some videos will play and others will as washed out SDR. Playing directly via USB or even using the DLNA will work 100% of the time
