Thanks for the replies guys.
So I am really confused now because I did nothing different & made no changes since I went to bed last night, in a state of utter frustration. I started up PD14 & did have some problems opening up my file, had to shutdown PD14 & restart it then everything loaded up fine. Did not change any playback settings & just thought I would try it again. It has worked great every time now, knock of wood.
As for the video card that is another frustration. The card I am using is perfect for my design/artist/cnc software but it gives issues with some of my video software. Nothing drastic, just annoying. I do believe that will be my next ugrade, but not sure which card will give me the best balance. It's as though my computer needs two separate video card profiles where you can switch between them as required. I too have a powerfull computer runnung 32GB ram, 5 SSD's, but a slightly out of date 7 processor. I won't mention my video card because you guys would think I'm nuts but it works fantastic with my main daily processing (it's a mid-range/level card).
I should come back here more often because I want to get good at PD14. ny of you guys from Canada?
Talk to you later.

All my editing was going perfect using PowerDiector 13 Live. Did the update to PowerDirector 14 Live & now I have lots of issues with the playback. The playback stops at the beginning of most clips (but not them all) for about 1-2 seconds then starts playing again. Then sometimes it will skip an entire clip & go to the next where it may stop again or play normal. This problem seems to only happen on the video clips. Does not happen on photo or text clips. I have tried reloading & re-editing the videos but the problem still exists. I am so frustrated because I have hours into my video & it is not useable anymore. Can't find a work around. I wish Live/cloud would let me go back to 13 to see if that will get things back to normal.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks.

Hey all,
I have a video with poor audio but I had a remote audio recorder doing it's thing at the same time. In the timeline I have fiddled & fiddled but can't seem to find a way to precisely sycn the two audios. I did make three loud snaps in the beginning for a good reference point. That worked well. I can get close but still not sycn'd. Any suggestions?
Also is there a way to lock the video track & the separate audio track so if I have to relocate the video track then the separate audio track will also follow & stay in sync?
I am using Director Suite 2. Was not sure if this was a ADR or a PD12 question.
Thanks to all who reply.

Thanks Nina.
I have had trouble with gmail in the past so maybe I just need to be a bit more patient.
I looked at your website. Nice . Is this a hobby of a source of income. Trying to find something to generate a few extra bucks thru my semi-retirement.

How do I go about getting the download for this project that is on YouTube? Don't seem to get any replies.
Thanks to all.

I looked at NewBlue but it does not recognize CyberLink (in it's specs), maybe I am missing something because there are some NewBlue effects within PD12.
Thanks Luigi

Hey all,
How can I convert a video into a cartoonish video. Any software suggestions or can I do it right from PD12?
Thanks all. All the Best in the New Year.

I have designed a lower title area consisting of one png graphic, one partially transparent color board & one fade-in, fad-out title. I have put them into three different tracks & they work great together. Is there a way that I can combine/merge all three effects into one template so I can insert this template into other areas of the video without having to install all three separately?
Thanks to whom ever replies.

Thanks Tony, your explanation is clear & helps a lot.
I like your logo idea. Can you share where you got the book from?

Looking for suggestions.
When designing graphics (no motion), like a logo or artsy stuff, I have tried making designs in different sizes, saving as png, but when I import them into the library, then the timeline, I still have to resize them downward to make them the right smaller size. Is there something I am missing? I would like the graphic to be the right size from the get go. Is there a right size I should be designing them to to get the best overall finished quality?
Thanks to all that reply.

That's perfect.
Thanks again.

OK, thanks.
All I am trying to do is place a small clipart image in one lower corner, then another will be added later. I have tried a couple of transparent images but were very large & not very clear.
Sometimes a person has an idea but has difficulty find a way to make it happen.
Later.

How do I add homemade clipart (no motion) to a project?
What is the best file format to use?
Is there a way to design within Director Suite 2?
Thanks to all that reply.

Thanks all,
"Restore to Default" did the trick. Can see the main choices now.
Now I understand that I can also create my unique colors combos.

Went to check out the Color Boards & found that there is nothing in that area, NO colors to pick from. Where do I get them?
Them.

Thanks ChubbyHouseFilms.
So many things to explore.

Hey all,
Probably a really simple & silly question, but I can't seem to find a way to add a stand alone page with just text, no motion or gizmos.
What am I missing?
Thanks to all replies.

Thanks all.
I will try the F/E module. It's amazing how much more noise the camera's mike picks up that the human ear filters out. Or maybe that's just a sign of getting older.

I have done a quick site search for removing wind noise but did not come up with much constructive advice. Seems to be some problems with 12.
I there a way to remove/reduce audio wind noise?
Thanks to all.

Thanks again Carl312.
So much to learn. I have a HD Panasonic video camera, AVCHD, so I get some pretty good quality. I have used MoviePlus (Serif) & had decent success, but learning a more complete/full program can be a bit daunting. Just will have to keep experimenting. Trying to find ways to make a little extra income going into semi-retirement. I definately has enough computer power.
One quick question, What OS do I need to get the 64-bit & what difference will that make?
