Looking for suggestions.
When designing graphics (no motion), like a logo or artsy stuff, I have tried making designs in different sizes, saving as png, but when I import them into the library, then the timeline, I still have to resize them downward to make them the right smaller size. Is there something I am missing? I would like the graphic to be the right size from the get go. Is there a right size I should be designing them to to get the best overall finished quality?
Thanks to all that reply.

Hi Storyteller -

Once you've designed your logo and it's just as you want, the easiest thing to do (to use it in PowerDirector) is to:

1. Import the logo
2. Drop it on the timeline
3. Click Modify > PiP Designer
4. Resize, reposition & set opacity
5. Click Save As to save as a template
- the template will retain the size, position & opacity you set so now you can just drop it in whenever you wish.

An alternative is to place the logo (in your graphics software) on a transparent 1920x1080 base. The end result is the same.

Screenshot & examples attached.

Cheers - Tony

Thanks Tony, your explanation is clear & helps a lot.
I like your logo idea. Can you share where you got the book from?

I would if I could, but it was just in one of my clip art folders which have been sourced from anywhere and everywhere.

I'm happy to attach it though. It was previously black. I just recoloured it.
