Hi, all
I filmed someone talking in front of a waterfall.
The noise of the waterfall is too loud, and I'd really like to lower it by about half - and leave the speaker's voice at the same level.
But I can't figure out how to do it.
The audio and noise of the waterfall are all on the same track....can anything be done?
Thanks for any help.

Over the time since I've had Power Director 11, I've tried to download frames, PiPs, etc., etc. Sometimes it works, and the thing I downloaded goes into the appropriate "room" or whatever it's called, and I can see it.
Most of the time, the downloaded item never shows up - in the download folder or anywhere else. I get a dialog box pop up that tells me it's been successfully installed and ready to use, but I can never find it!
Ive got Power Director 11, and only download those things that say they are use for Power Director 11 (as well as all the other numbers...)
What am I doing wrong...

Hi SEOSpecialist -
One possibility is that you may have applied a postfix transition (which will fade to black).
If you want to transition smoothly from title to slide, make sure the transition is inserted across both images.
Cheers - Tony
Ah, that was my problem. I had assumed I had had to place the transition at the very end of one slide, not *across* two slides.
Thanks to all who answered.

I'm producing a series of videos with a blue background.
I have a blue title card, which then goes to blue powerpoint slides.
I'd like to use a transition between the title card and the first slide, but every single transition style fades to black either at the very beginning or the very end of the transition process. So it doesn't match at all and of course is way too noticeable.
Is there any way to get rid of the black color - or change it to blue (or any other color, for that matter?)

Hello SEOSpecialist,
Welcome to the ADR forum.
When video clips are sent to ADR for audio editing, & the adjusted file is returned to PDR, WAV is the standard format. That cannot be changed.
I am confident that the conversion to WAV format in ADR is not responsible for the "echo/hollow effect". That would be the result of adjustments you made to the clip.
An alternative process is:
1. In PDR's media library, right click on the WMV file & extract the audio.
2. Open ADR & import the extracted audio (WAV)
3. Make whatever adjustments are needed.
4. Produce the audio clip in your preferred format - mp3?
5. Import the produced audio into PDR and use it as the audio track for your WMV clip.
Question: Your WMV file - is the MP3 a separate audio clip or is that the audio format of the video?
PIX
Hi, Pix
Thanks for your response.
Between the time I asked that question and your response, things have changed, so it's - at the moment - a moot point.
If it resurfaces I'll come back and answer your question fully.

Hello, all. Newbie here.
When I upload a video into Power Director, and have to do something to the audio such as trim it or what have you, my audio - whether it is MP3 or from my WMV file, always gets converted to WAV.
And the WAV has a very echoey effect that just sounds awful.
How can I remove that echo/hollow effect, or how can I get AudioDirector to leave my audio in the same format to begin with!
