Any way to make Transitions transparent?

I'm producing a series of videos with a blue background.

I have a blue title card, which then goes to blue powerpoint slides.

I'd like to use a transition between the title card and the first slide, but every single transition style fades to black either at the very beginning or the very end of the transition process. So it doesn't match at all and of course is way too noticeable.

Is there any way to get rid of the black color - or change it to blue (or any other color, for that matter?)

Hi,
I'm not sure of what you've described, however the "black" you're viewing is in fact (could be, if I have this right) a transparent area.
1. Create an additional video track(no audio) above your project
2. Place an image or video above the position you have a black area.
3. Preview the sequence and you should have the new tracks content showing.
4. If you want a blue background, use a blue color board

Give it a go and let me know if I have helped or not.

Dafydd

Hi SEOSpecialist -

One possibility is that you may have applied a postfix transition (which will fade to black).

If you want to transition smoothly from title to slide, make sure the transition is inserted across both images.

You'd be aware that PD12 can import PowerPoint presentations directly. Of course, you lose animations etc, so you're effectively importing images of each slide.

Cheers - Tony

Ah, that was my problem. I had assumed I had had to place the transition at the very end of one slide, not *across* two slides.

Thanks to all who answered.
