Im trying to crop a video clip but without zooming? i.e. I don't want to keep the same aspect ration. I want to cut a 16:9 video to square.

The video is getting placed next to another on a white backround.

Thanks.
Hi. I'm wondering how I can make a production in 21:9 (so that the final product is in 21:9 with the top and bottom black bars on a 16:9 screen).

The captured footage will actually be 16:9 (gopro). But I would like the production to be 21:9 for cinema trailer effect. (I realise I will have to crop top and bottom of my 16:9 footage but that is ok).
OK update. Turn out the DVD has a beastly scratch on it... So annoyed because I always take care of my stuff. Whats the next step? contact cyberlink i guess.
you mean convert it to an .iso? Im not sure how to do that but I will look into it
does anyone know of a downloadable installer? Even a torrent? (I've paid for it anyway and have a serial key to use). Just the CD installation isnt working. I have robbed the cd drive from an old computer so that could be the problem.
yup, no errors, take AAAAGES though (up to an hour). tried several times.
It's a CD copy bought from Amazon. Worked fine on my windows 7. Its going on a fresh windows 10 install!
I just looked in the folder that cyberlink created in program files and there doesnt even seem to be an executable file in there?
Hi all, Im trying to install PD14 on Win 10 and it goes through the process all correwctly, but at the end the desktop shortcut for PD14 has no image and it simply wont start up? not from any location.
Not to worry, my friend has a USB external DVD drive he is going to lend me. Sorted.
Hi, I recently got a new case and SSD. I want to instal PD14 to it but I don't have a DVD drive anymore. Is there somewhere I can get an ISO file for it and instal it via USB? Thanks.
OK thanks. That's econding with none of the fast stuff ticked yeah?
Hmm. I don't care about speed at all. Just interested in quality. If I can still get perfect quality at slower processing times. I'm perfectly happy.
Perfect!
Im swapping my GTX770 for an AMD R9 390x
Will this be OK with PD14?

Im also going to get a SSD and install Win 10 on it. This will require a reinstall of PD14 on it. How does this work with prouct keys etc?

Thanks.
I'm stuck with ddr3 ram on my mobo.

I don't really "need" it. The main reason is I have bought a new CPU cooler and it obscures ram slot 1. As I am using slots 2 and 4 at the moment I didn't want to remove the CPU cooler when later down the line I got ram for slots 1 and 3. So just bought the ram now so I don't have to remove the cooler later.

As for times, I don't car about the time it takes to produce the video at all. I would quite like to see an improvement in the speeds when adding effects and previewing in good quality.

Thanks.

It depends on what the project demands. If you do a lot of modifying the video (fix/Enhance, FX) you can get all of the CPU and most of the RAM in use.

Yeah I do a lot of that.

I bought the ram anyway so 16gb here we come!

Just wondering how much RAM I should have for editing 3-10min but complex videos (1080p 60fps) in PD14?
I currently have 8GB of RAM but thinking of upgrading to 16GB RAM.

Can't imagine I use more than 8GB in windows or Games but guessing PD is quite RAM heavy?

Thanks.
P.S. IS there anyway to set the production to 16:10? I have some work to do for a monitor that is 16:10 also.
