Hi Playsound,

thanks for the quick reply.

It helps a lot and I understand the "trick".

Hi,

I have a subscription on the "DirectorZone weekly Update" where I try to learn from other PD users.

I saw in one of the "videos of teh week" an example of how to display 4 pictures (or 9) into one shot. See the example:

Example of 9 pictures on one frame

Can some one advise me how to do this?

Thanks
Thanks for the quick reply.
I was aware of the option to alter the size with the mouse. However, my problem is that I use the music track for background music . And in your example it even not displayed. I have to scroll the Music track up, if you want to edit the music for fading the music in and out, when a movie is placed on the Track 1.
Hi,
how can I hide /remove the default tracks on the timeline?
I have always track 1 and 2 in my display, together with the Microphone, Text and Music tracks.
In some projects I only use Track 1 and Music.
As I am working on a laptop do not have all the relevant tracks in one display and have to scoll up and down , many times.
(with Track 2, Text and Microphone in between)
Pls advise.

anyone some ideas?
I run today in the same problem.
ofcourse I can "cancel last operation" button at the top, but then I loose other activities.
I have inserted randomly all kind of transitions between the photos, but now I want to remove these.
Can some one inform me how? I double checked help files ,etc. But no luck.
Hi Barry,
thank you for the answer. it is clear.
But, this means, that I have to buy the Power2Go software as well.

I have a friend, who runs ProShow gold and there you can easily tick a box and the media is burned, together with the production of the final DVD. It's included in the basic SW.

Maybe, I should not ask you, but is there any software available, that does the same, but free of charge?
I did a quick check on the internet, but no success.

Hi again,

Is it possible to burn the original photos on the DVD as data? Togther with the produced DVD?
So that I can play the produced DVD on my DVD player and if I want to have the original pictures, I insert the same DVD disk in the PC and access the original photos?

Hi Carl,
I tried your suggestion with Power Tools, but it did not work with me. I have PD11.
Once I have compiled a diashow, I select it in the time line and then the PowerTool option is not available.
It is only for the Audio part, which I can manipulate.

Hi Stevek,
I tried your suggestion as well, and it worked out as I want to be. !!
i made a dummy music for eg. 25 seconds and let the diashow time duration adapt to it.
in the time line, I killed that music and keep the background music.

So, I will continue in that way and many thanks for both replies.
It helped me a lot.

Best Regards,

Hi, can we extend the playing time of a slideshow?
I selected 5 slides and made a slideshow out of it, using the cell template.
Each slide has a duration of 5 seconds.( i played with 10 secs and 20 sec's)
When the slideshow has been produced, the total time of the slide show is 9 seconds.
Is it possible to extend this time of the slideshow?
And if so, how?

PS. I know there is slideshow tempalte , where we can influence the time.

Hi all,
thanks for your responses. It is clear that there is no such smart function in PD11.
I will start working on my DVD, as I did in the past (manually ) and explained in the video from Tony.

By the way, what does NLE mean?
(sorry for my poor english)
With other words, I would like that PD11 detects that there is a video on the time line and that the background will fade out automatically and returns with audio at the end of the video.
But I am afraid, it is not supported by PD.

I assume, I am not the first one with this "problem"

Anyhow, thanks for your advice.

Hi Tony,
thanks for the quick reply. What you explained in your video is exactly what I did so far, and that is what I want to avoid.
In your example, you have only one video, but on my time line I have over 40 short videos and I have to reset these all manually.
And, if I make a mistake , some where, i have to redo it.
This is the reasoning for my question.
Thanks again.
Hi, I have a question about PowerDirector 11.
I have a lot a photos on my time line and some videos in between.
I added dedicated music as background in the music channel.
When the videos appear on the time line, I fade out the background music and at the end of the video I would like to restore the music.
I did this manually. Ok fine.
But now I changed the time line by adding new photos and videos and as a consequence, the fade in and fade out of the background music is not synchronised anymore.

Is there an option that the background music automatically fades out to zero and returns automatically at the end of the video?

PS. I checked a lot of PDtoots videos, checked the manuals, help files etc...
