How to merge 4 (or 9) pictures into one view?

Hi,

I have a subscription on the "DirectorZone weekly Update" where I try to learn from other PD users.

I saw in one of the "videos of teh week" an example of how to display 4 pictures (or 9) into one shot. See the example:

Can some one advise me how to do this?

You must add each photo in a band, one under the other.

First select the range of the image lower down in the preview is shown white balls on each side of the image.

1 - Click, hold and drag to resize the image.

2 - Click the image, hold and drag into position.

Select the image just above, repeat the process 1 and 2.

To facilitate positioning, enable the grid lines.

The images automatically adjusts the lines.

I noticed that the spaces between the pictures are black. Fine for the moment, but how can i change the background?
