PD11 still works I can import an audio file but when I right click to modify the imported audio file and select WaveEditor it will not open. Also if I click on the WaveEditor icon on my desk top it shows normally on the toolbar at the bottom of the screen but will not open on the main screen so I can use it.

I have recently purchased a windows 8 laptop and got PD11 working good(thanks to this forum) even produced 1 video - now since the last patch
WaveEditor will not work - (it did for the first video on my new Windows 8 laptop before the patch). After a bunch of playing around I did a compatibility test and found WaveEditor is not compatible with Windows 8. Needless to say I'm not happy with that but do understand.
So my question is what do I do from here? What do other Windows 8 users do?
Do I make silent movies until WaveEditor is compatible with Windows 8 or am I forced to buy AudioDirector or is AudioDirector even compatible with Windows 8. Is there a free audio software that will work with PD11?
I'm just so sad right now that Magic Music will not work with music files other than Smartsound and now WaveEditor quit.
Please ANY suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
NOTE - I'm not opposed to buying something but it has to work on my Windows 8 laptop.
Please don't tell me I'm stuck with silent movies LOL

Thanks for the quick response - kind of figured the answer would be no - but thought I'd ask anyway.
It would have been nice to let Magic Music do my duration editing for me. Guess I will have to quit being so lazy and
learn how to use WaveEditor better. I just have more fun editing images and videos than music.
I know that Smart Sound has music files avaiable to purchase but I have found other copyright free background
music that I like better and is a lot cheaper. The only advantage I can see with Smart Sound is the ease of use/editing.

I like the ease of use of Magic Music and was wondering if there is a way to use music I have stored on my laptop that is not supplied by "Smartsound". I would like Magic Music to use my music files not just the choices it supplies - hope this is making sense LOL

I tried a search for this question but did not find an answer to this specific question.
I have a new laptop ordered and it should arrive anyday day now so I want to get PD 11 Ultimate on it.
My old laptop is windows 7 with PD 10 upgraded to PD 11 Ultimate - I have the CD for PD 10 Ultra and the 2 upgrade CDs
for PD 11 Ultimate.
My questions are 1/ Should I install PD10 Ultra and then enter the 30 digit activation code and THEN install PD 11 Ultimate
and the 30 digit code on my new windows 8 laptop or??
2/ I understand CyberLink only allows PD to be used on one laptop so I am concerned the 30 digit codes will not work
for my new laptop - maybe i need to talk to Support about this but I'm hoping someone smarter than me knows the answer.
3/ Do I need to do a complete un-install on the old laptop before installing on the new laptop?
4/ I am planning on manually saving the CyberLink folder(which contains downloaded effects and my projects etc) to the
"Documents" folder on my new laptop - I don't foresee any issues with that - do you?

Just to make sure I'm clear on this - if I set the video to "unlisted" or "public" in Youtube then the recipient should be able to see the e-card properly? There should be no difference to the recipient if I have the Youtube video set to "public" or "unlisted - right?

I just tried to send a Video card to some friends but they say they can not see the video because its marked private.
The only way I could figure to save the video into PD10 (just made with PD10) was to send it to Youtube and leave the little box ticked to share with the world. Then what I did was to mark it as private in Youtube so my friends would not see the video before I sent out the Christmas Video cards. Is this where I went wrong or? I had to send the video to Youtube because I could not find it in my list of videos in my PD10 account. Thanks

Hi Everyone
This is my first post - just installed PD10 yesterday. YaHoo this program looks and feels GOOD
Managed to make a DVD of our last holiday and it turned out nice (well for my abilities so far anyway)
I figured I would share it with some friend thru YouTube. If you look at the Director Zone Video Gallery
you will see my problem - the picture in the gallery shows a double image but plays normally BUT in
YouTube it plays in double vision(2 same images side by side). I have made the YouTube video "private"
now so no one can see my mess. 
HP Laptop - uses Windows 7 with a Nvidia GE Force 9600m GT card
Bet someone has run into this before - any ideas?
