I just tried to send a Video card to some friends but they say they can not see the video because its marked private.
The only way I could figure to save the video into PD10 (just made with PD10) was to send it to Youtube and leave the little box ticked to share with the world. Then what I did was to mark it as private in Youtube so my friends would not see the video before I sent out the Christmas Video cards. Is this where I went wrong or? I had to send the video to Youtube because I could not find it in my list of videos in my PD10 account. Thanks

You can also list the video on Youtube as "Unlisted".
You can edit that in your video manager.

If you then give your recipient the link to the unlisted video, they or anybody with the link can view it.

To send a video to YouTube and set it as unlisted, you produce the video as a WMV and use the upload in your Youtube Account.
When you upload, you have the option of the video being Public, Unlisted or Private.

Thank you very much for the help.
Just to make sure I'm clear on this - if I set the video to "unlisted" or "public" in Youtube then the recipient should be able to see the e-card properly? There should be no difference to the recipient if I have the Youtube video set to "public" or "unlisted - right?
Again thank you VERY much Carl312 - have yourself a Very Merry Christmas !!!

With "unlisted" you must have the link to the video. Anybody that has the link can view the video.

"Public", you can search on Youtube to find videos. Everybody can view that video.

"Private" requires that you list the Youtube user(s) that are allowed to view the video.
