When I try to open manually or insert a Blu Ray, the program crashes on startup. Back to Win 8 for me. MS is really blowing it. 8 was a failure in comparison to 7 and 8.1 is worse yet
I can't believe it. It has been years, with no apparent resolution. My Kaspersky Antivirus detected PowerDVD 12 as a Keylogger and decided to delete files. I had to jump through hoops to get auto run back to operational. Now...here is the byproduct. I was able to still view DVD's and listen to music through PowerDVD but got error messages about not being able to detect the drive when trying to watch Blu Rays. It told me to uninstall and reinstall Power DVD, which I did. Still no love for Blu Ray. Then I decided to uninstall Kaspersky AND Power DVD and reinstall PowerDVD without Kaspersky in the system. Click on activate and it tells me that my activations are exceeded???? I have only activated it a total of three times (when first installed...last night after reinstall and a while ago, trying to see if I could fix the issue on my own). So now, I don't have PowerDVD 12 at all. Sent emails to support and get the canned "we'll get back to you" message. So I guess I am "dead in the water"...as they say

Correction...I have installed PowerDVD 4 times total...had to uninstall and reinstall when I installed Windows 8...my oversight
Honestly NONE. Build 1312 works great on my Envy 173D. Great 3D quality...no issues at all. Thought new builds would also contain advantages...guess not...
Unfortunately, when you purchase an HP laptop (as with Dell as well), you don't get ANY video driver updates past the initial release. I had to mod the drivers from AMD to get to the version that I have. Where is the poser setting?

OK...copied the questions and will answer...

3. Which SR number (available in the "About" box of PD and is NOT the CD-Key!)

DVD110722-02

4. What kind of video source material used (codec / container), extension? We often ask for a 5 to 10 second sample , please provide one as an attachment.

Normally just any commercial Blu Ray or DVD, plus .mvc (files that came with PowerDVD 10 when I purchased my Envy 17 3D
5. A detailed step by step description of the problem. See Part D below.

Nero Ultra 10

This is the second time I downloaded a new build of Power DVD 12 Ultra. The latest from 9/10. Once installed, my ability to view 3D movies, files and photos is gone! In order to keep my 3D abilities, I have to uninstall and reinstall build 1312.

HP Envy 17 3D
120 HZ 3D Screen
i7 2670M 2.2 GHZ Processor
AMD Radeon 6850
HD 3D shutter glasses

With build 1312, Ultra plays back in 3D. Even with all the correct settings in the new build, 3D will not play back, even though the 3D button says "Deactivate", which means that 3D is activated. The correct screen settings for 120 HZ 3D capable screen is there...all the settings that I use with build 1312...except NO 3D. The prior build did the same thing, so I have to close the Nag screen telling me to update

Any reason for this????

Thanks

Bob
You should probably contact Cyberlink:

http://www.cyberlink.com/prog/support/cs/index.do

They have been great with me. Put in a support ticket and they will most likely send you a link.
Control panel...Programs and features. Then choose Cyberlink PowerDVD12 Ultra and hit the uninstall button. That's pretty much it. No need for authority or the like. Do you have your original install file? If not, that is most likely when you may have to chat with Cyberlink support
When you uninstall...you will be given the option to save your settings. Just choose YES and when you reinstall...it will already be set up. Only thing you might need to do is put your activation code in and re-activate. Other than that...you should be good to go.

Cyberlink...please fix the new version. It is causing havoc!~
I uninstalled PowerDVD12 Ultra. When it asked me to save settings...told it NO. Then did the uninstall. I have my original installer (first version) and installed it. Then ran the 1514 updater (still available)...now I am running 12.0.1514 and everything works again.
It did the same thing to me. I updated to 1618 and now my PowerDVD12 Ultra became a trial version. In addition, 3D is broken. I uninstalled PowerDVD and then reinstalled my original version and went back to 1514 and everything works. This new 1618 is flat out nasty and broken. Much agree...DO NOT DOWNLOAD!
I sent in a request and was replied to within a day. I was asked to wait for an upgrade by the end of Feb. Received the upgrade on 2/16. Cyberlink came through for me. My copy of PowerDVD was purchased directly from Cyberlink via Digital River.

Bump...

Michael....was hoping you fourd out something by now...

Thanks

Thank You...

Guess it is something with YouCam5. I sent emails back and forth with Cyberlink about this. Their only solution is to log onto my machine and probe my system files and registry...I don't really want that...so I am still awaiting a reply. Not expecting much...been days since their last reply to me. Good, and not good, that I am not the only one with this problem...

Thanks
Over the holidays, I purchased the PowerDVD11 Ultra/YouCam5 upgrade package offered. Also received LabelPrint 2.5 as a bonus. Registered all the products...but for some reason...YouCam5 won't register. I click on REGISTER...fill out all the info and submit..and the registration window disappears. Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks
