Cool stuff Barry! Do you think you could make a "pool" of goo on the floor after she melts?
You guys are awesome! You have me a ton of ideas and you saved me some $$ on a green screen!
-Cheers!
I was going to do a "basic" video of someone standing on a sidewalk and melting into goo while having a conversation with someone. I looked into the standard Effects in pd9, but the closest thing they have is Fire and Huge Fire.
Thanks for the help!
Does anyone know if PD9 is capable of doing a melting effect (i.e. wizard of oz)? If so, how can you accomplish that? With a custom particle effect? Or is that too complex.

If anyone has a video where they incorporated a melting effect, I'd love to see it.

Thx.
Thanks @Bubba and Grandad Ron for your tips!
@ Barry, the link is good. Thanks. I did get the updates and that seemed to stop the track from skipping.
Hi,
I shot some video using a Sony Electret Condenser mic, but there is a loud buzzing sound at one point. I'm not sure if the cord was loose on the mic somewhere (I used an extension cord) because the other sound/video I shot came out fine.

Can I edit out the buzzing noise in Wave Editor? If so, how. I've never had to do this before.

Thanks, as always.
Hi @Kevin @Barry Thanks for your help, but I've decided to abandon any further solution because it's frustrating me way too much. I decided to use a SS track and that works, however, the track skips a lot when I play it on the video timeline.
Thanks Barry. I did try that as well. I ran into this problem before a couple of months back and saving as a .wav file did work, but for some reason, this mp3 file is not responsive this time around.
I'm using PowerDirector as I'm typing this and it's running a bit slow so i'm wondering if something else is going on with the program.
Thanks for your answer Kevin. I just wanted to clarify that the original files I downloaded are mp3, so are you saying that I should re-save them?
No, it's up to 50. I played the other amazon track at the same audio level and it plays fine.
I just downloaded 2 royalty free tracks (both mp3) from Amazon and then created a video. One of the tracks plays fine, but when I try to play the other one in a different video (new project), nothing happens. Let me clarify: the track plays in the preview window, but once I add it to the timeline, no sound at all.
I tried saving the file as .wma, mpg audio file, etc. and am not having any luck. Anyone care to venture a guess as to what is going on?

Thanks.
SUCCESS! I saved the music file as an mpeg 4 audio file and I Produced the project as an mpeg 2. Perfect video and audio.

Normally, I just produce as a .mov, but I won't do that anymore.

THANKS TO YNOTFISH AND TO ALL!

ps. here is the link to what I've been trying to produce for a week http://youtu.be/jO_TKIScyJs
@ynotfish, I tried the .wma file suggestion; audio is still silent on youtube. I'll try the the .wav file now...
@ynotfish Thanks for clarifying! Will try and post result.
@ynotfish, In your first article, I noticed I am having trouble with the SAME TRACK, Pavane!
@ynotfish, Thank u, I will read those articles at once. I had a feeling I might have to create a new project, which I didn't really want to do, but anyway I have to do what I must. I upload through my Youtube account. And I'll read those articles immediately
@SDR, good suggestion, but no that's not the case. Believe it or not, i am using a Smart Sound track- the last time this happened to me all I had to do was download the latest quicktime. I used royalty free music in a different video and that one uploaded fine -go figure! Thanks again
@Jaime-esque, Yes, I just double-checked. The music is up to 50. It plays after it's produced, but not on youtube.

@Bubba in NY. Okay, so now I understand why I couldn't drag the SS to the musical icon track, but I did try producing the video with the SS on both of the tracks you indicate. The video plays in quicktime after it's produced, but not on Youtube.

It's really baffling me. The other video I made, I used royalty free music and that plays fine. Weird.
Hi,
I added a SmartSound music track to the Music Track (with the music note icon), but now that I am trying to move it to the Track with the loudspeaker icon, it literally won't move. It's like the other tracks are locked out.

Any suggestions as to why this is happening? I've tried re-booting a bunch of times, but it doesn't have any effect.

The reason I am trying to do this is that when I initially Produced the video (Video 1) and uploaded it to youtube, no sound played.
I made another vide (Video 2), and added music on the tracks with the loudspeaker icons and they play fine on youtube. So I am hoping that by doing the same thing to Video 1, it will play with audio on youtube.

Any suggestions??
I am trying to produce a 12 min video for Youtube filmed in 720/60fps. I selected "HD STANDARD QUALITY .MOV" from the "Produce" menu. The thing has literally been uploading for over 10 hours and now has frozen at 84%. Also, PD9 crashed a number of times as I was editing the video yesterday.

I produced 2 videos from PD9 about 2 weeks ago and thought I had overcome all the issues, but yet I'm still being plagued. Any advice out there?

I thought I downloaded all the patches, Quicktime update, etc.

Thanks,
