can another Title track be added ? I'm making a slide show and I started off with a "perspective scroll" and in order for it to scroll slowly enough I extended it out. I want to add another title further on down the timeline a little but this first title is in the way.

I'm planning on getting started on a long slide show, I'm going to have my dad narrate it, talking about the old family photos. Is there any way I can insert a small video box next to the photo of him talking once and a while during the slide show ? Is this beyond the capabilities of PD 9 ?

well after about 7 trys I finally got a clean prodution of the edited dvd. The sound track is ever so slightly off on the last half of it,I understand that happens some.The answer to to save it in HQ rather then SQ but that would have made for too big of a file for the dvd.

now I'm not sure if it was happening where the two original files were joined together or where I edited them and trimmed parts. I think I found out why the program was hanging when I went to produce and burn to disk,it's because of the video hanging at this one point and not allowing the produce and burn go any further. It's happening only in this one project (a dvd that I transferred some old vhs tapes onto)

I put two .vob files,part 1 and 2 next to each other in the timeline but the video hangs at that point where they were put together everytime,is there some procedure to join these files ?

Hi vn,thanks for your input,I tried it,same result,an immediate freeze up. I think if I continue to do video in avchd I'll be ok,I'll keep you informed.

I installed the new patch first thing this morning and opened two of my .mov files,put a transition in and wham it froze up immediately. I then loaded two old avhd clips and played around with them with no lock ups. I still think the .mov clips are the problem on my pc.

that's good to hear that I locked up the program on your pc lol I just played around with a couple of avchd clips that I made in the early days after buying the camera in the spring and I also couldn't freeze the program ! I'm encouraged by all of this !

hmm,sort of disappointed. I can't make the program fail with the stock video. Thanks alot for your help,that was really nice of you ! I'll try recording in different modes.

if the problem is the .mov files generated by my almost new Panasonic camera which is looking very likely at the moment I wonder what my options are,converting the .mov files to something else ? My camera can also record in avchd lite

definitely a difference with the one video supplied in PD 9 I put it through the paces and no freezes,how are you doing with the .mov files I made available to you ?

thinking that the problem might have been solved.I started a new project with no mp3's anywhere to be found.I put 2 .mov files in the timeline from my Panasonic DMC-ZS7 camera,put a transition between the 2 and it locked up immediately

i think we must have posted our last posts at the same time,I had not read your last post when I said I was giving up.I won't give up if you don't : I really like this program ! Here's the song in question attached.I think it was downloaded from an irc channel a long time ago.

this program has practically become unusable.I think I'll uninstall it and try version 8

that preference is checked.I drag all my mp3 songs to the Media,Audio room.I don't know why it's showing up like this in my timeline......

I just tried shortening the music track to before the movie ends and it let me continue then I put it back (music track) to the end of the clip,where I originally wanted it and it still worked but this isn't an ideal situation....It's like putting the music track to the end of the clip was some sort of a conflict and would freeze ?!

it lets me shorten the music track but then the next button i touch freezes everything

I reached this point where I want to shorten the music track put no way is it letting me,I've tried different ways to the same end but it freezes up everytime,this along with putting transitions in. It's so frustrating because I like the program so much.I'm soon going to have to uninstall and find another video editing program. I've updated my graphics card today.It's a new comouter,I just bought it last month. (Ultra v.9)
