Thanks "Pepsi" for your welcome advice. I eventually resolved the problem rather than solve it. As my burner worked well both before and after this week's failure to burn a DVD, I reasoned that it couldn't be the problem. I therefore gave up, deleted the project and then started a brand new one. Using the exact same clips I made the exact same edit, nothing whatsoever different, only this time the resultant DVD burned without a hitch. I am now happy, albeit still somewhat perplexed!!

Merry Christmas

When attempting to burn a disc (menu with 21 chapters) I keep getting the message Error Code eEB130783. I have burnt many menu discs successfully until today. The problem starts after selecting "Smart Fit" for my 90 minute video. The usual processing box appears with the words "Checking Menu Settings (22%) and "Updating Title Profile Settings". After an abnormal five minutes wait the box finally disappears and I am seemingly ready to select "Burn in 2D". The burning process appears to begin but some 20 minutes later the error code appears, along with the message that burning was unsuccessful.

I have endeavoured to match my every setting with recent successful DVD burns of a very similar nature but for the life of me cant see any difference in my method on this occasion. With all my recent projects, the "Checking Menu Settings" quickly races through its preparation process and I am set to burn. Does anyone have any idea what this error code is trying to tell me?
Thanks everyone for your kind and prompt response to my query. Your suggestions have now been acted upon and have shown to be a very worthwhile option. Smart thinking, guys!!
Is there any way to stop the menu background music from annoyingly repeating everytime you navigate through the number of "pages" in the Chapters Menu? I have a number of pages with four chapters (dance item thumbnails) on each page. When switching from page to page the background music stops and repeats on opening each page. It would be so good if the music started at the Root Menu and continued unbroken towards its maximum 99 seconds duration until such time as you navigated to the item you wished to play. But I guess that is just wishful thinking!!!
Sorry, I omitted to say that I am using PowerDirector Ultimate 13.0.2604.0

I have ticked the box "Automatically check for software updates" so I expect to soon see a notification appear at the bottom of my screen when I next open the program

In my current 80 minute editing headache I am using four different file types on the same timeline track, being: (1) M2T Type MPEG-2 (99% of video) then about two minutes or less of inserts of (2) mp4 Type H.264 AVC (3) AVI Type DV-AVI (4) JPEG (30 second clip art for title). Perhaps the system objects to this mixture of file types on the same timeline, although I eventually burnt a most satisfactory DVD of the production (a theatre-stage debate: "Real Books Vs E-Books").
Attached are the two dxdiag files. Still trying to figure out mediapro. Couldn't find the GUI in the files downloaded from the help file. Hope this information is of some help. Many thanks for your very kind assistance, it is very much appreciated.

My big problem is with the computer continually FREEZING whenever I try to scrub the timeline either forward or backward through just two or three minutes of footage. I then have to sit, frustrated, for two or three minutes each time, waiting for the program to recover and resume playing. Often when it does resume, the audio plays but neither the timeline nor the preview window moves for some minutes after. For every one hour spend editing I would regularly waste forty minutes simply waiting for the computer to recover. After much persistence and frustration I eventually succeed and produce some very satisfactory DVD recordings.

I have set my preview window at "Normal", disconnected my Internet cable and have very few other software programs installed on my purpose built "CyberLink ready" computer (see specs below). Reading through the CyberLink Community Forum hasn't helped as it seems that nobody else has experienced my problem. I desperately hope that there is someone out there who can provide some suggestions to help me defeat that nasty little man inside my computer that is working tirelessly against me!

Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Processor: Intel(R) Core i7-4790K CPU 4.00GHz 4.00GHz Memory (RAM): 16.0GB Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti Total Memory 4022 MB Video recordings are 25 FPS (PAL), being either early SD or current HD.
