Menu background music

Is there any way to stop the menu background music from annoyingly repeating everytime you navigate through the number of "pages" in the Chapters Menu? I have a number of pages with four chapters (dance item thumbnails) on each page. When switching from page to page the background music stops and repeats on opening each page. It would be so good if the music started at the Root Menu and continued unbroken towards its maximum 99 seconds duration until such time as you navigated to the item you wished to play. But I guess that is just wishful thinking!!!

Hi Nifty,

I think the only way to have no background music everytime you navigate through the number of "pages" in the Chapters Menu is to create the menu with no music at all.

At least I can't find a way to to let the music continued unbroken and and repeat on opening each page turn - sorry. frown

Anja -

The reason you can't think of a way to do that is... there is no way to do that in PDR. undecided

We're stuck with it, I'm afraid. In PDR's menus, when you navigate to a new page the assigned music for that page restarts.

So NiftyNev from W.A. - the options are:

  • Create a menu with no music at all

  • Use nebulous "looping" kind of music that doesn't jar when it restarts - & maybe use fade in/out to soften the blow! I've made a series of these about 15 seconds long (which fits with PDR's menu structure) - an example attached

  • Assign different music to each page - maybe in a similar style - so it disguises the restart. Here's how to do that... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VeIN84Xnyrk

Yep - wishful thinking laughing

As Tony has shown in the YT link, you can also choose music in the root page and no music in the scenes pages in the menu structure. I like to reduce the volume of any music that I choose to apply to menus.
