The videos look great. I am curious to see how you did the "Live" scoreboard? I do my daughters volleyball games and can't seem to find an easy way to do it in PD15.

The scoreboard in the video was done "manually". I created a graphic (the wings) for which the scoreboard to lay in-front of. (That's the easy part.)
Then I added a separate text box for each player's score. I started with "0" for each player and then extended the text box on the timeline until the end of the match. Whenever there was a scoring change, I split the textbox in the timeline at that point of tehs coring change, and adjust the value in the textbox on the right of the split most. Below is an example:

Yes, this is tedious and if you a miss score somewhere, you may have to redo part of the scoring for that match. But you have full control and the output looks real good!
But again, this is tedious. If you need a "faster" way of doing this, then I would recommend looking into getting a scoreboard application for the computer (I'm sure there are many) where you can enter the team names and update the score using keystrokes. (EX: press "h" to away home team a point and "a" to award away team a point, etc. )
While you are watching the game (live or on replay) you could record a screencapture of the computer display as you update the scoreboard displayed on it. After you are done, place the video ontop of you normal footage. (trim and resize to your liking.) You may have to tweek things, and the graphics may not be as sharp, but it's far easier.
When we were planning to do our 2016 tournament, I was going to use a manual flipboard scoreboard and have a camera focused on just that. That way, we would have a scoreboard in the room for people to see and I won't have to do do the scoreboard work separately. Of course we never had our 2016 tournment (long story) so I never got a chance to give that a shot.
Hope that helps. If you are not making many videos, then my original suggestion might be "good enough". Also, if there is a scoring error, at least you can correct it, recompile the video and have a fix in not time. This is not possible with the other method. And if you do decide to go with my original suggestion, don't go crazy trying to come-up with a scoreboard that looks good. A simple one might be good enough.

When I edit video, I like to use hard transitions from one clip to another. (IE, as soon as one clip end, immediately go to the next one.)
In my rendered output with PD14, I noticed that sometimes the video clip being transitioned to will be missing some frames from the start of the clip. It can be as few as a few frames, or can be as long as a half a second. (As shown in this video.)

The bad news is that this bug occurs. The good news is that:
(a) the bug does not occur randomly in the video output, meaning they can spotted via a careful review out the video output.
(b) If you do spot the glitch it in your video, you can eliminate it by lengthening or shortening the clips having issues.
I don't recall noticing this issue in PD11, PD12 or PD13, so this is a new bug.

In PD13, if I render a video containing a video clip configured to be played-back in reverse, the output looks fine.
With Power Director 14, the video clip will be glitched, containing black "flashes" throughout the clip.
Apparently, PD14 has a bug when using video configured to be played-back in reserve. Here is a video illustrating the glitch:

Thanks for the compliment. ![]() He had a neighboring company participant in the tournamnet. They even took the title for one of our divisions.
Our company had a softball team that played until the league folded in 2013. I did make some cool sports broadcast like videos from those games as well. All made using PD.

Here is a video covering the finals for a company Ping-Pong tournment. This video is the first part of a trilogy that I will be releasing, where each video will cover the finals for each of the three divisions. (Newbie, Intermediate and Expert Divisions.)
What makes the video interesting is how I give it a sport broadcast-like feel to the coverage, using multiple camera angles, a "live" scorebox, instance replays, slow-mo replays, and more. There are also some cleaver intros to the video. Even if you don't like Ping-Pong (table tennis), I'm sure you will enjoy the video editing. Check it out and let me know what you think. i7-2600 16GB RAM, 3 disks.
- 3 FlipCams
- GoPro Camera
- Sony PJ camcorder. (Nice little camera!)
- tried using external mics, but they always seem to record audio at a slighter slower speed, causing serious audio-video alignment issues, so I just stick with the audio from the video cameras instead. (Any suggestions for a quality audio recorder that doesn't have the audio/video synching issue I described?)
Been using PD since release 2011.
