For instance, in this screen-recording (https://goo.gl/Z6vZ3J) I changed in PD several adjustments of the FX. In another project, I would like use same FX adjustments, instead of making everything again.

In this screen-recording (https://goo.gl/vHWWEP) it is showed what I mean about that. The same fx (from newblue) is applied in PD and also in Sony Vegas. In Vegas I can change prosition direct on video preview. The way I found to do that in PD opens a new window.

I am starting using PD14 Ultimate and I would appreciate adivices. Actually, I don't have yet a resonable idea on its capabilities and limitations to create animations, mainly for youtube/vimeo channels. The kind of animations would be:

Is it possible to create this kind of animation by using only PD14 Ultimate?

If there is limitation for that, how users handle it? Is any plugin or other software recommended to work with PD14?

Thanks for info Tony!You may know another situation:I just purchased the PD14 ULTIMATE version because of an amazing sale price!

Now I have third-parties packages as proDAD VitaScene, several NewBlue Video Essentials, etc. If in next upgrade I buy PD15 ULTRA instead, will these third-parties packages from PD14 ULTIMATE work in forthcoming version?

My point is, I would need this third-parties packages one time and no need anymore of keeping buying PD15, 16, etc. ULTIMATE version. I bought ULTIMATE once, and next upgrade I would buy ULTRA (which is cheaper) and take advantage of the third-parties packages which were installed since PD14 ULTIMATE...

I am about to purchase a PD14 ULTRA, which gives as extra: TravelPack, HolidayPack

To whom already experienced upgrades (v.12>13>14), will the packs from former versions keep working after upgrading?

My point here is that these packs are bundled by default in ULTIMATE version, but for budget issues I would like to keep updating ULTRA. Having in mind that when I next update the packages can't not be offered, I mean, I may upgraded a backbone, core ULTRA without any packages, I would like to keep using the packages from my previous purchase in the forthcoming updates I may keep going (PD15, 16 etc.).

Hi,

Let's say I have in Library the following folder structure

Folder 1 (10 photos)

Folder 1.1 (20 photos)

Folder 1.3 (30 photos)

When I select "Folder 1", all the photos, including the one in subfolders are showed, in total of 60 photos. This feature of seeing photos from all folder structure is handy many times. But in this very moment I just need to see the 10 photos that are in "Folder 1", but when I select this folder, again, the 60 photos are showed and I can't identify which are the 10 photos.

In that case, how to see only the photos from the top/parent folder (not showing photos from subfolders)?

Regarding the Keyframes you mentioned, do you know if there is track motion feature? I mean, I the blurring would follow the person face, but the process itself wouldn't request for me much manually effort. It would be a task for PD13 track motion!

Hi,

I would apppreciate haelp to handle:

a) Regarding PowerDirector "fast-forward" playback, if I click on "fastforward" the default speed is 2x. Is there any way to set
other speed, as for instance 1.5x?

b) When fast-forward is working, the sound is mute. Is there any way to fast-forward the video keeping the sound, even the sound would be accelerate presenting funny voices? Actually, I use (in Sony Vegas) the playback control to speed up my editing process, mainly in the beggning. And to listening to the content (even acelerated or slowed) is quite important as well.

c) I couldn't see how to playback the video slower (just fasteforward). Is this feature available? I don't want to change the clip speed itself. All operations I am referring to (a,b,c) is regarding only the playback speed.

I'm migrating to PowerDirector and I have been discussing some core features with this comunity.

Now it comes to my mind audio. I would appreciate to know from PD13 users:

a) Is there a master volume which can control all the audio volumes at once? I realized there is the "audio mixing room", but for each track of audio there is a separeted volume control. For instance, Sony Vegas (even the most basic version) has a master volume. Please refer to the following image to more detail about that: http://www.eventdv.net/Images/Default.aspx?ImageID=6325 Even I have 10 audio tracks, from this master volume I can adjust the final volume output, independent of the individual volume of each track. Fingers crossed PD13 has similar master volume control...

b) Last version of Corel Video Studio advertised a feature called "Audio Ducking", which "Balance dialog, narration with background sound for pro-quality audio. With Audio Ducking, VideoStudio Pro X8 detects audio or narration and automatically lowers the volume of background sound. Adjust the Ducking Level and Sensitivity if you wish for even more control." I am using the trial of PD ultimate, then it doesn't come with the PhotoDirector. I intend to buy PD and already realized how handy in its workflow is AudioDirector. I am convinced on using both!

The point now is regarding PhotoDirector: does it have any handy/imortant integration in the powerdirector workflow? I mean, if it joest correct/adjust image as an external application (it could be photoshop, gimp, etc.) to be imported later into PowerDirector, so I wouldn't have much interest on that.

Any clarification will be very welcomed!

It worked great. Actually, I hade 3 pieces of video/audio + 3 of external audio. PD synced all as it was Plural Eyes I am used to it.

Hi, I record video/in-built audio from a DSLR + external audio (Zoom recorder).

I use Plural Eyes plugin for Vegas Pro to automatically sync video and audio tracks (several sequences of video and audio in same project).

I would appreciate if someone knows if PD13 could (and how to) sync video/audio + external audio.

I intend to produce stand–alone video documentaries, but as a complementary research resource.

My concern is with to find a software that support my intend usage, being easy-to-use as well.

After spending a very intensive day using the mentioned software, I could realize that PowerDirector has great features (friendly user interface, useful subtitle tool, render video fast, DirectorZone is cool etc.). But to my usage intent, it lacks in doesn’t offer any way to mark/tag the elements of edition (video, audio, voice) to better organization of the project. I could find in “same class” software other one that has more powerful and flexible editing capabilities too, but presenting lower easy-to-use than PowerDirector.

I will immerse on it now an I'm betting this will be a fruitful way of doing my academic researches.

I am indenting to introduce in a methodological way the use of semi-professional documentaries in university at area of management.

So, I am looking for a semi-professional video editing software that has the features to support this kind of development, preferentially being easy-to-use.

After reading some reviews, I am considering in first moment “CyberLink PowerDirector 10 Ultra”, even “Sony Vegas 11 Platinum” and “Corel VideoStudio X4 Ultimate” are always mentioned as good software pieces as well.

Anyway, I don’t have almost any knowledge (yet) about video editors to make by myself a mature evaluation/judgment. In this sense I would appreciate some advice from PowerDirector user’s community:

a) Is PowerDirector 10 able to offer high-features to support this kind of development (documentaries)?

b) Could I considerer that PowerDirector 10 offers semi-professional video quality?

c) Is it easy to find/search tracks in a video around 1 hour with a plenty of short video tracks? Is there any search mechanism?

d) I couldn’t see in my trial version strip with titles that is used to introduce someone (like that where name and profession appear when person is presented => John / Manager). Is it available in PowerDirector 10?

e) And about other mentioned software (Sony Vegas 11 Platinum and Corel VideoStudio X4 Ultimate), does anyone have opinions related “about what” “CyberLink PowerDirector 10 Ultra would be better to my intending usage?
