I bought the deluxe (cheap) version of PD 10 a while ago, but it just never worked correctly with my gopro video. The produced videos would be skippy and randomly freeze. So, now I am thinking about buying the Ultra upgrade so I can run it on my 64 bit machine. I also am getting a new computer that's faster and has 8 GB of memory hoping that will also help cure my problem. So if I buy the Ultra upgrade and see no improvements, will CyberLink refund me the 50 dollars? Thanks
I am using gopro video which I believe is 48 frames/second in the mode I usually use. I want to produce in h.264. When I go to make a custom profile, 48 is not an option for the frame rate. Should I go down to 30 or up to 50? What happens when you tell powerdirector to produce a video with more frams/second than the raw video you are editing? Also, is it good or bad if I use the highest bitrate it will allow me to use?

Thanks
I have tried almost every format powerdirector offers, and it is either low quality, skippy, or it freezes frames for like 10 seconds. What format should I use with GoPro clips?
awesome thanks! would you happen to know anything about editing gopro footage?
This just randomly happened. When I go to produce, I want to produce in H.264 1920 x 1080 which I used to be able to do. Now my only option in H.264 is 720 x 480. What is going on with this?
thanks for the help

Quote: It could many things, that is why the request for information.

The DXdiag gives a great deal of information about your computer. Nothing personal except the name of the computer.
There are lots of editors in the forum world wide that are very knowledgeable, somebody may know what the problem is if we have the information.

Where do i find the DXdiag? Also, unchecking fast rendering technology did nothing. this is really getting annoying. every production freezes in different points

Quote: So I am making edits with GoPro videos and when I produce, the video, in the same two places, will take the first frame of these two clips and freeze it for the duration of that clip. It does this everytime I produce. Nothing is wrong with the source files. What do I do? thanks

It may be your computer.

Post the information for Part A and Part B.

Please attach the dxdiag.txt files to the forum, do not copy and paste.
Use the Post Reply button, Not the Quick Reply button, Blue attachments button, attach your files.

Could it be the "fast rendering technology" (i think its called velocity or something, it is by default checked off)?

Just wondering how powerful the software is? check this awesome video

for example, can it fade into and out of fast forward/slow mo? can it do enhanced slow mo as in make it smoother?
I am using a trial version and the videos i make and save have an error uploading to youtube. Is this just because I have to buy the full version?
