John,

Are they asking you for verification of purchase and receipts? I bought mine almost a year ago and dont have any of that anymore. WHat info would I need to provide them?

Thanks,

Hollon
It seems at this time I am just out of luck. It doesnt incline me to ever purchase a cyberlink product again.
Hi Mike,

Yes, I burned mpeg2 last month, after having spent many months ironing out other issues with the program. I installed the program the first time back in August of 2011 I believe. My activation codes are even on file with cyberlink.
All I know, is when I received my boxed copy, I did not see instructions during the installation stating this needed to be done. But regardless of that, I burned MPEG2 just a couple months ago, and now I cant even do that. According to these posts, that should not even be an issue. And if I had read all I could find on this product in the forums before purchasing it, I most likely would not have. It has been issue after issue, and when I finally get everything working I get locked out after burning 4 or 5 discs.
I agree Fenman. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of. My program ran for 8 months and now I supposed to "prove" I bought it to even get help? I have the disc, not a download or bootleg, and its registered on the Cyberlink site. Too many hoops for a program that is so unstable.
Oh, I hadnt seen anything with the installation stating that so I didnt know. I have burned the mpeg2, which is what I am trying to use again and wont work, but I havent burned any of the other formats.
I'm not sure what 30 day time limit you mean. This wasnt a trial version, I purchased it last summer and its never had this issue until recently. I have the disc for it, it wasnt a download. I dont know why all of a sudden it chose to do this.
I finally got this program to burn on a laptop. After making a few copies of a project, I came back a few days later and now it says my activation code is expired.I uninstall and reinstalled, used the cyberlink cleaners, update to the latest patch and I still cant burn anything due to the attached. This is very frustrating.I have had the program for some time and cant recall where I bought it, let alone a receipt for cyberlink to help me. My code works to load the program, and I can do all except burn. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance
Phil,

Thanks for the input. I am trying to do this economically, but of course I dont want an economical system that doesnt work either.....So it seems I should be good if I get a different and larger drive.

I appreciate your advice and am sure you are probably correct.

Dafydd,

I upgraded every driver I could find. Deleted caches galore. I started a new project, very small in size, and had the same error message. I tried removing the menus from my project, and it errors out at about 2:00 and 0% complete. Not sure what else to do now.

I know its been on here before...but after reading all I can find, I cannot resolve this issue. It does this every time at 21% no matter the burn speed or any other changes I try. After weeks of working on a project, its fairly discouraging to have it stuck on my computer. I am using PD9 and using a hard drive now with 127gig of free space on it since my main drice had less available space. No change though. What else can I provide to try to resolve this? Even removed and reinstalled PD9 today to see if that would help. Also cleaned out most of the cache files.
I am having the same issue here. It wont creat a dvd or even a folder without giving the error message. I can "produce" the video, saving it as an mpeg2 that plays on my computer, but cant figure out how to burn that to a disc, even using the IMGBURN program. It doesnt seem to recognize mpeg2. Grrr
Awesome, I found a fairly recent one along with 50 other auto saves. I do save regularly, dont know why this decided to disappear. Is it a good idea to delete the older autosaves? Thanks so much Adrian.
After literally hours and hours and hours, and hours, I save my project tonight as usual, and its gone. I had 2 saved actually, of the same project at different points, and no sign of either of them. I have searched my computer every way I know, and no luck. If anyone has an idea, PLEASE help...I am so frustrated. So, hers the info:

PowerDirector v9 Ultra64 32bit

I hit save as "xxx" and after it saved I closed the program, and now theres no saved files anywhere.
Any suggestions on what to try?
A - PowerDirector v9 Ultra64 32bit

B - see attachment

D- I started a new project and I hit the import media button and selected the saved video file from my hard drive that I received from a friend on dropbox. Its an mpeg format that plays just fine on windows media player, but speeds up on the PD. Video and audio both. A 39 second clip plays in 21 seconds.

Thanks in advance, I hope this clarifies it.
New user here, please dont chastise me too harshly. I did a search and couldnt find an answer to this. When I import a video clip off my hard drive (Mpeg), it speeds up the video and audio by about 45%. I cant figure out why.
