Hollon: I took a look at your dxdiag file. I regret to have to tell you that I think your computer appears to be seriously underpowered to handle PD9. The minimum requirements are listed at this URL:
http://www.cyberlink.com/products/powerdirector/requirements_en_CA.html
I know the specs now refer to PD10, but they are essentially the same as for PD9, which required more resources than previous versions of PD.
Your RAM is only 2 GB, you have an integrated graphics card with only 128 MB of RAM, your DirectX is out of date (now DirectX 11), and your primary hard drive has only 20 GB free. Recommended RAM for a 32-bit OS is at least 3 GB, dedicated video RAM is recommended to be at least 500 MB, and free space should be in the order of 50 to 100 GB. Latest drivers for video should be installed and the latest version of QuickTime.
I think what is happening is that because PD9 produces enormous temporary files during authoring and rendering, you are running out of RAM, video RAM, and C: drive space, and PD9 just runs out of resources and quits.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. You could try installing PD9 on a more powerful computer and see if your problem vanishes, assuming, of course, that you select a slow burning speed. I think you will find that PD9 will burn fine, particuarly if you have the latest patch (3305) which fixed a lot of burn, and other problems.
Have a great day.
Regards,
-Phil
