I now have another problem with a different clip. If I set the timeline slider at the beginning of the clip (and where the waveform starts) there is a 4-5 second delay before the audio starts. I am not sure which to believe. When I render it will the video be in sync with what the timeline shows, or what I hear? When I pull it in to WaveEditor it starts fine.

I am having a problem with a particular music clip ripped from a CD. I have attached it in the hopes that someone else will try it on their PD9. The problem is at the end. On my system the waveform stops before the music (audio) ends, and then later the the end of the clip truncates the music prematurely. I would say it is a bad clip except it plays perfectly on Windows Media Player, and the waveform is perfectly in sync when I play it on Goldwave.

Thanks for your reply. I figured out both my issues. The image problem was cockpit trouble with the transparency setting. The music I discovered in a previous post, is tied to the length of any video running on page 2. I don't have a video so I guess defaults to 15 seconds. I understand you can get it to run longer if you include a longer running video. I have not confirmed that. Thanks again.

Whoa, I have bigger problems than I thought. My images I brought in to Menu Designer show up fine on the preview window in the normal Create Disc mode. However when I went to "Preview" my menu they disappeared when playing.

I hope it's Ok to post 2 questions.
1. I am importing some images (photos) onto the second (Title) page of my menu. When I bring them in to Menu Designer only the outline box shows up not the image itself. When I import a second image , I have difficulty aligning it with the first as nothing shows up in the Menu Designer preview page even though the images DO show up after I save the menu and Apply it to my project. However it makes it difficult to align properly with other items on the menu. Why does it not show up in menu designer?
2. I have set the Playback mode duration to 60 seconds and my music selection to 60 seconds also. The first page of my menu works fine. However the second (Title) page times out on 15 seconds and I can't seem to find a way to change it.
What am I missing.i

Jeff, one other question. Can you just use highlighttable (?) text as a button, or do all buttons have to be thumbnails?
Thanks, that's clever. Is there a way though to keep my music from starting over every 15 sec?
Thanks Jeff, I understand. I can use that but what I really wanted was a fixed image for the thumbnails, not video, but I guess that is not possible.
Sorry, forgot to attach the screenshots.

Here are a couple of screenshots. They are of the Title page. I want to change the thumbnail pics. As you can see they pick up the beginning video of the two titles instead of the chapter 1 pic. How do I change this?
How do I send you that pic?
Thanks, but that does not solve my problem. When I do as you suggest, it does change the Chapter 1 thumbnail, but not the thumbnail that shows up on the second (Scenes) page of the menu for that TITLE. I am not even refering to chapters as I only have one per Title. Any other thoughts?

I have a simple disc menu with two titles, 1 chapter each.. The second page displays thumbnail images of the two titles, but I would like to change the images shown. I have gone to Edit mode and changed the chapter 1 image, which works fine but when I go to Create Disc mode, it does not effect the images shown on the Title page. How can I change that image?

I finally found a culprit after an exhausting number of "clean boots". It appear that my fingerprint reader from Digital Persona
is interfering with PD. I am at a loss to why, but when I don't start or later turn off the process associated with Digital Persona it eliminates the problem. I have no clue how to fix this as I do use the fingerprint reader sometimes instead of a password to log on. Very strange. Any thoughts anyone?

I have actually UnInstalled Tunebite, but it didn't help. Attached are the new diagnosics.
I did have an external USB Blu-ray burner attached. I disconnected it, but it made no difference. I also have a printer and my external monitor (HDMI). Should they be a problem?

Yes, I am running 9.0.0.2930. I can send you a screen shot, but it does it when I haven't even brought in any project, It just
opens with the sample clips. If I immediately Exit all is well. If I go to the Create Disc mode and then exit, it does not shut down PDR9.exe. Do you want a screen shot of the sample clips?

OK, I installed the new NVidia driver and now I am back to where I was in the first place. PD will initially start. It will also restart if I stay in Edit mode. However if I go into Create Disc mode it will not restart unless I manually kill the process in Task Mgr. I have run new diagnostics and attached. Thank for you help, I really appreciate it.

OK, will download and install the NVidia driver, but I am not sure how that caused my current problem as PD used to initially run OK, but with restart probs.
I should have noted that the latest driver HP recommends is the one currently installed.
