Menu Images and Title Page Music

I hope it's Ok to post 2 questions.

1. I am importing some images (photos) onto the second (Title) page of my menu. When I bring them in to Menu Designer only the outline box shows up not the image itself. When I import a second image , I have difficulty aligning it with the first as nothing shows up in the Menu Designer preview page even though the images DO show up after I save the menu and Apply it to my project. However it makes it difficult to align properly with other items on the menu. Why does it not show up in menu designer?

2. I have set the Playback mode duration to 60 seconds and my music selection to 60 seconds also. The first page of my menu works fine. However the second (Title) page times out on 15 seconds and I can't seem to find a way to change it.
What am I missing.i

Whoa, I have bigger problems than I thought. My images I brought in to Menu Designer show up fine on the preview window in the normal Create Disc mode. However when I went to "Preview" my menu they disappeared when playing.
???

Hi JSINCO -

You have to pay twice as much for 2 questions!

When you import an image into Menu Designer, doesn't it appear like this?

On your other question... yes - that's exactly what happens here when I set up the menu as you've described. The Chapters page times out after about 15 seconds. Nothing I could set would allow it to continue.

Maybe we'll be in luck - if Jeff (JL_JL) pops in he may be able to shed some light, being the resident forum guru on all things menuesque!

Cheers - Tony

***EDIT: The images not appearing sounds like a display issue with your GPU. Make sure your GPU driver is up-to-date.

Thanks for your reply. I figured out both my issues. The image problem was cockpit trouble with the transparency setting. The music I discovered in a previous post, is tied to the length of any video running on page 2. I don't have a video so I guess defaults to 15 seconds. I understand you can get it to run longer if you include a longer running video. I have not confirmed that. Thanks again.

That's odd, because the shortest clip I used in the test above was over 2 minutes!

BUT
-

(having said there's nothing I could do) I just set the time out to 99 (max) and the music played through its whole glorious 60 seconds!

Can I ask you a question?

Why, in a 16:9 project, with a 16:9 menu would PD throw up a 4:3 proportioned menu at me??? Stupid thing!

Cheers - Tony
