I'll give it a go when my 720p finishes burning.
thanks jmone,
but the purpose is to give copies to family members who have BluRay players but are not too tech savvy.
It's no problem for my own use as I have media players and computers all over the house.

I was going to try the AVCHC disc but they are dvds and the project is larger than a DVD can store.

Cheers
Rod
Thanks Neil,
Unfortunately Half SBS gives you 1x1080p video stream with the left eye taking up the left half and the right eye taking up the right.
Your TV then stretches each half and shows you 1 at a time using shutter glasses. Essentially you get half of 1080p reolution.

Cheers
Rod
thanks Jmone,
Thats sad news. I was hoping to distribute a bluray that looked great and bought the camera because it could do 3d 1080p.
I guess I'll know what to look for next time.

I did try the 1280x720/50p but my samsung BD player had trouble processing it. I'll try again.

Thanks Guys,
Some great feedback there. (I am in Perth)

So I understand now why 50i gets rid of Judder.
The problem is I need to produce a Bluray. The only options I have are 1920x1080/24p or 1280x720/50p when I go to the create disc menu. if I go 1280x720/50p then I am going to lose resolution.

If there was a 25p option I would definately select that.

Thanks
Rod
Almost Forgot.
Camera is Sony HDR-TD10
it is recording in 3d but I get the problem producing to both 2d and 3d.

Hi Guys,
Hopefully you will get my attachments below so I can see if anyone is able to produce smooth video from this source.
I have been working on my project for quite some time but only produce HalfSBS mp4 files for testing on my home theatre.
I am now trying to test a fullHD 1080/24p BluRay burn and have dicovered I get some frame judder but also something like a snap to sync(Video Jump) every second.

In order to test I have produced this 8 second clip.
If I produce to file 2d AVCHD 1080/24p (the same as the source) the problem occurs.
If I produce to 720/50p or 1080/50p to judder is reduced considerably and the Jump every second disappears completely

I Hope someone may have some ideas. I have the latest patch for 11 and the latest drivers for NVidia.

Thanks
Rod
Hi Again.
I have finally answered my own question so thought I would post it here.
I have un installed and reinstalled more times than I can count.
I Had right clicked and used "Run as administrator"
I had used the Troubleshoot Compatibility wizard for all different windows versions.

Finally I went to change the compatibility settings back and noticed the following.
Right Click "PDR10.exe" in the Program Fies\Cyberlink\Power Director10 directory.
Select Properties
Selet the compatibility Tab
Check the box "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings"
Click OK and then start Power Director.

Not sure what effect this has on the application yet, but at least it starts.
Hi Guys,
I recently had a support ticket with cyberlink on this and have basically had no progress.
I'm hoping someone here may be able to shed some light.
PDR10 previously worked on my laptop. I think I originally started with PDR9 and then upgraded. I had to re-format and re-install the whole machine after some issues with a virus.

I am running windows 7 home premium 64bit. Since re-installing I have not been able to get PowerDirector to start.
I just get "PDR10.exe has stopped working" after I select the Full Feature Editor option. I have provided dxdiag and other files to cyberlink which I will upload here. I have performed the upgrades they have mentioned, even going to a special version they had me download.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled everything including quicktime many many times. and in as many different orders as I can think of. I have monitored the event viewer and this crash does not generate any logs. Each time PDR crashes I can see a new process "CLQTKernelClient32.exe" in the task manager I have to kill these or they just stay there.

The last update I had on my support ticket was a supposed workaround as follows

. Click Start.
2. Type “run” in the search box
3. Click Run.
4. Type comment “msconfig” and click OK.
5. A System Configuration Utility window will come up.
6. Under General tab, select Diagnostic Startup.
7. Click Apply.
8. Click OK.
9. Click Close.
10. It will ask you to restart your computer. Click Restart.

Not sure what this was supposed to do but Cyberlink does not even come close to starting when you reboot like this.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions you may have.
Rod
