Thank you Michael, I am aware of that fact.

There may be another user that has experienced the same issue and wishes to share their experience and a possible remedy. I have also contacted technical support and am awaiting a response from them.
I downloaded the patch earlier today and when I tried to install it, ran into a problem.

The files get updated but when it comes to updating the MANIFEST file, it hangs and the system become unresponsive. I have to shutdown the computer in order to stop the installer.

The following event is written to the Event Log.

Product: PowerDVD -- Error 1336.There was an error creating a temporary file that is needed to complete this installation. Folder: G:\Config.Msi\. System error code: 1117

I tried some steps as per the Microsoft Windows Installer issues page but I end up with the same result.

Does anyone have any ideas as how to resolve this? Thanks!

Update:

The original installation of PowerDVD 12 is now corrupted so I can't use it. I am having real issues here.

Okay, now I'm getting sick of this. I need to download PowerDVD 12 again but I can't log into my order page. It says my email address is wrong, even though I copied and pasted it from my profile page.

Thanks Michael, I've already contacted Customer Support about this and hope to have a reply some time soon.
Yep, another customer here that bought PowerDVD 10 Ultra a few days ago and then see that version 11 was available. I've paid around £112 for both, which I'm guessing is much more than just buying the full version of PowerDVD 11. And guess what? It doesn't play Blu Ray discs! So guess who isn't very happy...
I bought PowerDVD 10 last week and saw that version 11 was out yesterday. I've paid about £112 in all for both versions, a rip off in my mind. I also can't get Blu Ray movies to play so I'm not too impressed with Cyberlink right now.
