Hello,
I purchased PowerDVD 10 less than 2 weeks ago (April 10th). I like the product so far but i find it a little ridiculous that less than 2 weeks later it looks like i have to pay another 60 bucks to upgrade to PowerDVD 11. Can anything be done about this? I would like to be a long term customer but its likely the decision made here will affect that...and i'm not trying to be a pain its just it hasn't even been 2 weeks yet that i've had the full version....

and the funny thing is if i had waited until the end if my trial i'd still be on my trial right now and would have purchased 11 right from the start....

I hope something can be done. Thank You

ps: I noticed this "30 day money back guarantee"....so if nothing can be done can i get my money back and then purchase 11?
Thanks

Hi ArDVDBlu,

As far as I know you can get a refund up to 30 days from the date fo purchase, then buy Power DVD 11 so that you have the latest release. You might also contact customer service and they may just provide a link to download PDVD 11 once they have comfirmed your recent purchase. PDVD11 has some very cool new features. One new feature that I have been using is controlling playback of PowerDVD 11 using my ipad as a remote control...and you can stream media from your portable device directly to your PC through PDVD11...Check out some of the tutorials using Power DVD11 at this link. Some of the members here in the forum helped in creating some of these tutorials to help with the launch of the new release:

Here is the link to refund area on the Cyberlink Website:

I hope you enjoy Power DVD 11...it's a great application!

Regards,

Kevin

thanks guys....i initiated my refund and will purchase PowerDVD 11 shortly...assuming there are no issues with that Cyberlink has me for life as a customer!

im definetely looking forward to being able to control it with my ipad

i'm hopping that it works with sling too with its new streaming features...if it doesnt now that someday it does because then i would be able to use my cable box to watch 3d side by side programming live which would be awesome.

I purchased an upgrade to PDVD10 mkII ultra on 21/3/2011. I noticed that today 22/4/2011 I got an email inviting me to upgrade to PDVD 11 for £35.99. I like their timing, wait until a day after any possible refund date so they want me to pay again within a month. Other SW companies I have dealt with at least have a 2/3 months period where recent purchasers can upgrade for free or at a fraction of the normal upgrade price.
Very poor service from Cyberlink, it seems that money is far more important than customer satisfaction/loyalty. It would have been nice if 32 days ago when I purchased they could have mentioned that a new version is about to be released.

Yep, another customer here that bought PowerDVD 10 Ultra a few days ago and then see that version 11 was available. I've paid around £112 for both, which I'm guessing is much more than just buying the full version of PowerDVD 11. And guess what? It doesn't play Blu Ray discs! So guess who isn't very happy...

i already have purchased 11 although i havent tried a blu ray yet i've played around with the ipad/ipod remote which was pretty cool...planning to watch a blu ray 3d tonight

the only thing i dont like is the youtube stuff doesnt render the side by side videos in 3d which would be pretty cool
