Hi Aldoxide ,
Good point but CyberLink haven't said. As they've "withdrawn" the patch seems we will never know except by the number of recent posts reporting crashes after using the 2907 patch.

Hi Dafydd,

I know this one is not for Live users and instead have to use the Cyberlink Application Manager, but that was the update that was received and I was wondering if that one is correct or if this one will roll out for PowerDirector Live. Main Machine: Jetway NF9G-QM77, Intel i7-3610QM, Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 3GB, 128gb SSD, Windows 10 Pro
Secondary Machine: Lenovo Y510p, Intel i7-4700MQ 2.4Ghz, 2x nVidia GT750M, 500GB SSHD, Windows 10 Education

Hi moisesmcardona,
I don't know. CyberLink don't tend to give out much on what the Live updates are. You'll need to wait for notification, as you have been. We've seen a patch release for non-Live users come first and a little while later a patch for the Live user.

It appears like a bug got introduced on file size when using the H.264 m2ts container with the 1920x1080/60i 24Mbps profile and others. When the produced file size is greater than 4GB, the final file size as reported by PD13 2907.1 is incorrect. It essentially has 4GB increments subtracted from the actual file size. So a 13GB output file will have 12GB subtracted.

Pic 1 shows a good file size just prior to produce completion, 4.9GB with 63.3MB remaining with 8 seconds left
Pic 2 shows the file size at completion, 983.9MB, just the PD13 final reporting is wrong

To reproduce, simple put about 30min of Boats.wmv in the timeline and "Produce" with the H.264 m2ts container 1920x1080/60i 24Mbps so the finished file size is greater than 4GB and the issue will occur. The same issue will occur with the 1920x1080/60i 16Mbps with like 39min of Boats.wmv in the timeline.

Just to say I have just updated to .2907 from .2808 and noted that in this thread .2808 does not get a mention. Is it a Beta version I have been using?

Started this morning by checking for updates for my Radeon 7800 series and proceded to update drivers and chipset. All done OK but started PD13 .2808 version and opens OK (although graphics not right) but tries to load project or files and totally freezes. Even 1 minute clip. So rollback driver but not chipset and now OK but graphics still not right. This when downloaded .2907.1 and working much better but graphics display still not right. Audio line is now a strange mix of blue and pink.

Attached Dxdiag is now and others are before change to .2907.1

Also got message not enough memory etc.

Has anyone reported losing pips or particles on downloading the new patch?

I may be wrong (as I often am) but suddenly I can't find the template with the 'holiday' candy canes and gifts that fall from the top of the screen. I also see a lot of new ones that weren't there before, and though I can't put my finger on it, I seem to think there are some old ones missing. I think they could have been in the 3D section?

so two questions.. anyone missing pips and particles? was that part of the new patch to replace with new ones?
and ...if I was to look for pips and particles that belonged to my CL11, where would I look, and how would I get them back. (I'm not very techy, sorry...)
Thanks Guys. Jenny

Hi Pettros1 ,

Thanks for all the info - excellent presentation of data.

Please re-test after the full patch has been installed and run. The beta patch 2808 should have been reported in the beta threads.... all are now superseded by the 2907.1 full released patch (that's the one you should work on now). You may need to uninstall PDR13 back to original base and then update with the 2907.1 patch - in case the beta messed your PDR13 up.

I suggest you also dump the Shadow Edit File generation as you have a powerful computer - you don't need these Shadow files wasting your resources AND could be the cause of a lot of problems. Uncheck in Preferences x2 General & Confirmation tabs.

Installed patch 13.0.2907.1. Program skips ahead minutes, when viewing file. Producing movie it crashes, four times. Worked fine before patch.

Crash, Crash, Crash...

Patch made program unstable.

Of course I have no idea how to uninstall the patch? Or revert to the previous version which worked fine.

Cyberlink tech support was useless. Boiler plate A B C...Which I already did. They request information already provided.

How do you remove the patch?

Hi David,
Uninstall PowerDirector 13
reboot
Reinstall PDR13
Apply activation key
Apply the last patch that you're happy with.

Please start a NEW TOPIC if you have any further questions. Looks like you might have. Add a diagnostic to your new topic/question and information on the media you're importing. I'd like to see a screenshot of the Edit workspace with your project insitu. These bits of info are important. PD (v 2907.1) Sometimes this slow editing in the timeline.

I noticed in the settings Harware Decoding box was disabled, gray most of the time or not.

I need to close and reopen PD, enable HD to return to normal. AMD-FX 8350 / 8GB DDR3

A little strange, looks like CL lost a little basic attention to release detail with this 2907.1 release, see pic.

Leads to errors like this post: http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/44419.page User claims in OP version 13.0.2907.1 yet later in the post OPer observes a error is thrown up against 13.0.2907.0.

The 2907.0 "signature" has been seen before in another post, CL were made aware of it.

Please include a link to the other post, I must have missed it and would like to read. I did a search with google and it only finds a very limited amount of posts on this forum with 2907.0 and 2907.1 text in them and I don't see anything in that list related to this.

I couldn't find it either when I did a quick search via google. I went through my emails and located the link: http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/0/44157.page

The issue was unresolved and I couldn't really help the forum member.
