Hi,
I have build 2307 but have been unable to install the patch for this build. It says I do not have the correct patch?
Maybe this is related to my inability to activate the program via the CyberLink servers?

Hi,
I am trying to apply a transition between two video clips, but when I drag the transition onto the clips it wont "straddle" tem - instead it goes onto one or the other video clip. How do I get it to "straddle" the two clips?

Hi,
Is there a noticeable speed difference in rendering an avi/mpeg/etc between the 2 programs. Trying to determine if it is worthwhile to upgrade?

Hi,
I edited a video clip into four separate clips which are all on the timeline now. How do I merge them into one clip?
I cant seem to find the command for this. Everything is greyed out. If I select all 4 of them and right click the "Combine" command is greyed out?
I searched the forums on this and didn't find an answer. I imagine this is easy.
Appreciate any help.

Hi,
I tried to add an animated GIF to a title but the animation doesn't work. Is there a way to do this or do you have to create the animation in a Cyberlinl product - and if so which one?

Hi Natalie,
I am new to PD8 as well. When I first started using it I also had hangups / crashes. I found out it was due to my somewhat dated computer. I also was using an AMD dual core and an NVidia 7900GT video card.
I first changed my video card to a newer Radeon 4890 1 Gig. This helped a lot WRT crashes, but the program still ran a bit slow. So I upgraded my entire computer (i7 - 920 , 6 Gig Mem , ASUS Mobo , Windows 7). The program works fine now - for the most part.
All this to say that you may continue to have problems running this program on a notebook without upgrading some of your hardware - which may not be possible on a notebook. I hope I am wrong. l

Yes, I understand that. But what I want to do is group a bunch of the clips under 1 chapter and then another bunch under another chapter and so on. So that I would have only 4 - 5 chapters for the 40+ individual clips.

Hi,
Am I the only one who can't get a picture uploaded to the website?
I am trying to attach a JPEG less than 200KB and it never does it. Once I click submit, it says done but the picture never shows up?

Thanks for the reply. Actually it is 30+ short clips. So I am putting together the related clips and want each "section" to be achapter.
I tried highliting several clips in the Main Timeline and tried to combine them but the option "Combine" doesn't seem to be available?
I just don't want to have like 50 chapters which I have to go into and remove 45 of them manually.
Please see the picture.
Man I love the snipping tool of Windows 7!! Unfortunately the forum doesn't seem to be taking the picture (it's a JPEG less than 200KB?)

Hi Again,
In the chapters room there are three options:
- Insert a chapter at the start of each clip;
- Insert chapters at fixed intervals; and
- Insert chapters evenly.
I want to insert chapters manually, where I want them.
How do you do this?

Hi Tony,
Thanks for the feedback. I see what you mean about the layer in the title. I removed the background image and Voila! my picture is there.
How do you tell the picture to be on top of the background image?
I did this in the trial version!! What I mean is, there was no option for this, the picture just showed up when it was a PiP on the Title track.

Hi,
I downloaded a title from Director Zone (Star_Scroll) and I can't add any PiP to it.
I was able to do this in the trial version but now I can't in the bought and paid for version??
I tried putting an MPEG file into the Title Track but PD8 won't allow me to do this?
I just want some pics to show up at the end of the title.

Hi Ed,
I have tried it in both clip & movie but it won't show it. The Title clip is a PDS file so I am still thinking I have to get it to an MPEG before I can add PIP's?
