How do I know which background programs to turn off? When I bring up the list of which ones are running (cntrl/alt/delete), there's a lot of them.

1) How do I turn them off?
2) How do I turn them back on again?
3) Which ones can I leave off/on?
First off, YES these are vob files from a homemade DVD.

It's PD 5.0 1808 Premium

I've placed it in a file I created under My Documents

The VOB file size is 1,048,018 KB

It was a DVD I burned from my DV recorder through a Panasonic DVD Player/Recorder

I've downloaded .vob files from a DVD to my hard drive. But when I try to bring them into PD it locks up (hourglass keeps running)
Am I doing something wrong?
I've burned DVD's (from mini dv's) of some home movies. Is there a way to pull the videos off the DVD into powerDirector or is it better to just download it from my camera into PwrDirector?
