I may have it fixed. Yes they are clips pulled from 2 separate videos (not mine). Both avi, same aspect ratio, diff. resolution though.
I did produce the warped ones through PD8 and then put them back into production with the others. I took just 2 small clips from each of the different videos and produced a 30-sec video to see what happens. Came out fine.
Now will just have to see if it all holds true when I put the whole thing back together again. Thanks for the advice....again.

the troublesome clips are from the same source, so I guess you're saying that the other sources would have diff. aspect ratios?
Looking at the project file now, the troublesome clips come from an avi source fle 24 fps 16:9 resolution 854x480. The ones that come out fine come from an avi source file 23:97 fps 16:9 resolution 1280x720.
So, could it be the resolution? They're being stretched to match the others maybe? If so, how do I reconcile that? I know nothing about this stuff. I do understand what you're saying about pre-producing those clips though.

I'm back - you guys were so quick and helpful the last time - very grateful.
I have made a compilation video and everything looks super in the editor but when I go to produce the video the clips from just one of the videos come out all warped. I have tried to produce the video as .wmv, avi, and mov and it's the same for all.
the source videos are all avi but I don't really know much else about video editing.
Now that i've tried everything I can think of, time to ask for help.... ???

OMG - that's exactly what it was. It was on clip. The other ones flowed right through though - about 8 clips from 2 videos mixed together.
As soon as I switched the preview to movie though, that first one transitioned. Thanks!

Ok - have done multiple searches and can't find an answer;
I have PD8 and have several AVI video clips that I'm lacing together on the timeline. The first one in the series doesn't transition to the next one. It just ends and returns to the beginning of the timeline.
I put a transition in there, took it out, removed the audio. No idea what's wrong. 
I have a bunch of other clips after that and they flow together fine.
any ideas? thanks!
