AVI video clips not transitioning - goes back to beginning

Ok - have done multiple searches and can't find an answer;

I have PD8 and have several AVI video clips that I'm lacing together on the timeline. The first one in the series doesn't transition to the next one. It just ends and returns to the beginning of the timeline.

I put a transition in there, took it out, removed the audio. No idea what's wrong.

I have a bunch of other clips after that and they flow together fine.

any ideas? thanks!

Make sure "Movie" is selected and not "Clip" (next to the play button)

Hi Tricia,

Seems strange - if Charles suggestion isn't the issue, maybe you need to try to isolate it further.

If you move the clip to another position - say the middle - does the same thing happen?

Is the clip trimmed or anything?

You could produce the clip to another format and then bring it back to your project?

Cheers

OMG - that's exactly what it was. It was on clip. The other ones flowed right through though - about 8 clips from 2 videos mixed together.

As soon as I switched the preview to movie though, that first one transitioned. Thanks!
