I am seeing this same problem even with the latest patch! 2702, can some one confirm that this does not cause any trouble during rendering/burning or in the video itself???

Thanks. Exactly what I was thinking of. I don't need time stamp for the whole clip or second by second. So I am good. But it would be nice to have a plugin that would do this. It should not be hard to do as the clip has the time the file was created (filmed).

Hello Experts,
Is there any way of getting Time stamp in the video as a title or object automatically read from the .m2ts file?
Like in DV based AVI files there were many software and plugins to do that.
Appreciate your help on this. The purpose is to time stamp the baby videos. That way the video can be time referenced while watching later!
Thanks,
Raj

Thanks Mike,
This is exactly what I was looking for. But did not find your wonderful post before I have burnt my BD. Oh well I will use it for my next project.
Thanks once again.

Sorry guys I got busy at work. The problem was due to the Nero encoder using more than 16-bit encoding. So with 16-bit encoding the WAV file was usable in the timeline without any issues.
Thanks for all your help and suggestions.

Thanks Tony. I will try out the various options you have suggested. For sure I will post the results back

Hi Tony,
The source of the mp3 is from a Indian classical music website. I don't know how that was produced originally.
Yes PD imports to these files without any problems. The problem starts when I put it into the time line.
The WAV file has the error that we are discussing in this thread. The mp3 sound goes missing!
Hi Adrian,
I will check that possibility of converting mp3 to wma
Thanks,
Raj

Hi Tony,
Thanks. I appreciate your help on this.
I have made such a statement in my posting because I have gone through lots of bugs and even lost few DVD media when PD crashed on me! Its all out of frustration, nothing else.
Now to the problem. The file in question is converted from mp3 to wav. I did that myself using nero encoder. The reason is that the mp3 file as such will stop playing (after rendered into the movie) at some point in PD. I thought converting to raw PCM wav file might make PD's job easy. But it did not work. The file plays fine on all media players. Even PD can play both the original mp3 and its wav file. But originally when I had the mp3 file, after I have rendered the whole project, some parts of this music file will be missing sound! I can see that in the file itself when PD generates graph. The parts that will not produce sound will be a simple straight line, but the area where the sound is produced will have proper wave graph.
So either I need to fix the original problem in the mp3 or convert to a format that PD likes using the tools you have mentioned.
I have few more questions.
1. Are there any tools to analyze and fix mp3 files that would not generate proper wave graph?
2. Does PD support AC3 format?
To answer Dafydd ,
The build I have is 8.0.2220
Thanks,
Rajenk

I am trying to use a .wav file (stereo 48 Khz) in the PD8 time line. When I try to play the time line I am getting the error attached. Can some one help me work around this issue? Or is this another bug that is not addressed by R&D?

Thanks Donald,
I managed to get around the problem without crash!. The trick was to use a different transition and also I uninstalled and re-installed the software. Any way for now I should be fine. In general other than some intermittent problem PD8 is a great software out there for Blu-Ray rendering.
Thanks for sharing your trouble. Hope R&D figures out the problem soon and make all the frustrated customers happy!

I am trying to produce a 2 hour 56 minutes x.264 based GPU rendered m2ts file. The time line contains AVCHD, title texts, transitions, Music tracks. I have attempted this two times and PD8 crashes at 86% what a waste of time. Can some one guide me in getting a successful rendering to make a quality blu-ray DVD? Below is the config hardware and software.
The reason for x.264 format is to make use of X.V.Color as my TV KDL-52-XBR9 is capable of it. Otherwise I would go with the MPEG2, file size is not a problem. I have 50GB BD-R ready to go, but I am stuck with this rendering. I appreciate every one's effort in helping me.
Thanks,
Raj
