Hi Guys:
When I captured movie from SONY Hi8 tape the quality was degraded (on the screen) looks like interlaced video....When I only play quality looks better in viewing window (more like progressive frame) but as soon as I press record button in capture screen/module quality looks bad in viewing window. I am capturing in .avi format.
PC specs Intel Q9950, 7200 rpm separate WD black HD for capturing clips, 4 gb ram, win 7 64bit, PD10 64bit with latest patch. Program reported 0 frames dropped.
Any advise on capturing format to improve the quality when play back on PC. One more thing when I captured the clip it would not play in Windows Media Player and Home Cinema player. In these two player I can hear only audio but no video. But plays fine in Vlc player with interlaced look though. Thanks for any recommendation.

I have Q9550, 4 GB DDR2 ram, 7200 rpm x 3 HDs, nVidia 1gb 550Ti video card, win 7 64bit, PD 64 bit. No problem with editing 720p clips never maxed out mem. Maximum used around 3 gig... check anyother program causing this could be some background application. Check your Task Manager....

I have started a project and added some still pics, titles, and background sound on the timeline. Now I realized that I need to add a 30 sec clip at the beginning and one clip I have to replace with another clip. How can I do that so it would not change the other clips position? For example, when I add a clip at the beginning all the following clips, titles will move over so titles and the related clips' position will not be affected and will retain their location.
I need to replace a clip with other clip. Can I just delete it and insert the new clip. Again I am concerned if the lenght of the new clip is different than the new clip then titles and clips position will not be sync (it will change) and I have to manually change all the titles and background sounds. Thanks for your help.
