Probem solved on my side (Win7 x64 - but I suggest you also try for Win8 ).
When you run the Cyberlink BD Advistor the BenQ monitor is listed as the device which does not support 3D.
I had my monitor connected to the graphics card via the DVI cable which did come with the monitor.
I switched to a HDMI cable (1.4a ready - just in case) and bingo - it works.

Just figured though out - with HDMI connection this setup does not support 1920x1080 in 3D 120Hz mode.
HDMI allows 3D only in lower resolution. Need to test display port if this allows more but need to get displayport cable (1.2) first.
Not sure if it is really Win8 related.
I have Win7 64 bit. Nvidia GTX 670. BenQ XL2420TX.

Same issue here. Have PowerDVD 7 Ultra, purchased 9 Ultra Upgrade and the upgrade does not work.
