Do you have installed the latest Update build 1531? Its fixed since build 1530...
Das wäre doch der Hit. Endlich BluRay genießen...
I ggot an answer from the Support-team:
Dear Christoph,

Thank you for writing back.

In regard to your issue we would like to inform you that the Error 80040154 is a bug of the CyberLink PowerDVD 9.0 software and this issue is under the analysis of our Research and Development Department and they are working to fix this issue.
Sorry Timo, but in this case it didn't solve it...

I was local Administrator, UAC was off and i ran PowerDVD explicit as Administrator but the PopUp came back again.

i can avoid the Popup when using AnyDVD HD, but the error 80040154 is not fixed...

Something I forgot to tell:

When starting PowerDVD an inserting an BluRay the programm want to know, which Area I am. Area B was selected i tried to accept this, but the window polls up again. Then when accepting it again i get the known error 80040154.

My Pc is:
ASUS P5Q
4GB RAM
ATI HD 4350
ASUS XONAR HDAV 1.3-Soundcard
Intel Q9450
LG BDDVDRW GGC-H20L
Digital Everywhere Fire DTV-S2

Vista Ultimate SP1 x86

I have had the same problem.
II have installed befor PowerDVD 7.3 OEM Ultra and then upgraded to 9 Ultra. I got the same message. I deinstalled everything (PowerDVD 9 and 7.3), searched the Registry, if i could find something looking link "Cyberlink" and/or PowerDVD and deleted the String, or when knowing, that the Main-Key is only used by PowerDVD/Cyberlink, i deleted the Key. Then I rebooted my computer and installed PowerDVD 9 again. Only at this time my Key was accepted.

Or try this at first:
PowerDVD 9
and
PowerDVD 8

Christoph
Hi Darren,

can you tell us, which BluRay-Drive you currently using??
Maybe the Error results of using the LG BD-Drive.

I don't think it is the ATI-Graphicscard...
Hi,
i do have the same problem. My BluRay-Drive is also from LG.

Testdisk is Casino Royale. Sorry, but do not have another one...

My Videocard is ATI HD4350. Driverversion 9.2.
Soundcard is ASUS XONAR HDAV 1.3. Latest Driverversion 6.12.8.1757

PowerDVD 7.3 plays everything I want.

I need PowerDVD 9, cause it so nicely integrated into the Vista MediaCenter

Christoph
