optodata -- thanks for your help.
Not sure what Blue Titler Pro is at the moment!, and how it'll be relavant.
I think my laptop is a bit underpowered for the task, but I've downloaded the trial of )D13 Ultimate and had a play last night. It glitched a little but I think is cooping well enough just now for me to learn the software whilst I look into a more powerful laptop.
It's a ASUS X401a , Win 8.1. Intel (R) Pentium (R) CPU 2020M @ 2.40GHz , 4.0gb ram. / 64bit. The drop down in device manage just says INTEL (R) HD graphics.
I assume it's non expandable in terms of graphics cards.
Still, I've been mucking around with trying to use various free editors for a while and it's been utterly dispiriting. An hour last night with PD13 and already I'm thinking.
." Ah...this is more like what I expected!"
You will certainly need a more powerful computer to do any HD video editing. I'm not a big fan of laptops at all. Even the most powerful ones don't hold a candle to a good desktop.
Your first problem is you don't have enough system memory. (DRAM) You only have 4GB and will need at least 8GB.
Your CPU is a 2.4GB which is really too slow. I'd recommend an Intel CPU with 4 cores.
You have intergraded graphics. This is built into the CPU which will slow down the processing power of the CPU even more. Get a dedicated graphic card to take the load off of the CPU.
With my system (see my signature) I can edit and process 4K videos without even a slight stutter and there are more powerful systems out there.

Cyberlink's PowerDirector will burn ISO files.
An ISO file is a "picture" of the exact same file that is on the DVD/BlueRay.

You only have 4GB of RAM. I'd increase that to at least 8GB for starters.
You certainly don't have enough RAM for video editing.
You should be able to get a dedicated video card for it. That will take allot of the load off of the CPU.
Your best bet would be to get a desktop computer with at least a quad core CPU.

Skibum, you're not from NFLD, are you? And hang out on the Advrider board?

Nope, Not the same guy.
Sorry.

Thanks for the respond.
I had a feeling that this was allot of hype.
I love my Windows7. Hated Windows8 and never tried 8.1. I probably won't like Windows 10.
This is only the beta release of Windows 10 so something may not be up to par yet.

You may want to check this site:
http://www.overclock.net/
They're more than willing to help.
I built my own. It's easier than you think.
CPU is the most important. Get as many cores and as fast as you can afford. If you want to run more than one monitor, you'll need a GPU (video card) with extra RAM. At least 2GB of VRAM. With todays GPU, you don't really need a crazy power supply, unless you plan on over-clocking your CPU or running more than one GPU. Don't even try to use on board video, it will be terrible.

Will PowerDirector be set for the new Windows 10 operating system that will be released later this year?
Seems like it will be an upgrade for everyone, as it will be FREE to all Windows7, Windows8 & 8.1 users.
Allot of new features will be included, such as a new DirectX 12 and holograms.(This may get interesting for PowerDirector)
Has anyone tried the beta with Cyberlink products, yet?

Thanks for the help.
I deleted both PowerDirector12 and it's content.
Now I don't see double templates, etc
I believe PowerDirector13 seems to open faster. Also I don't believe I lost anything.
Would recommend this for everyone.

Just as the title states. Can I delete PowerDirector12 to save space on my HDD. I have the upgraded version of PowerDirector13 installed. Can I delete PowerDirector12 Content? That seems to come up twice in PD13.
Thanks in advance.

Just wanted to post the official response from CyberLink to my complaint:

I went for the $65 dollar "upgrade" and purchased PhotoDirector 4 Ultra, so now I don't have "deluxe" on the computer any more. Deluxe was the same program as Ultra without key editing features. No "People Beautifier" or "Content-Aware Removal". Which ia really the key parts of PhotoDirector. Also, the way they hooked me into getting "Deluxe" for "free" (it was really like $12.00 more) then not giving me the complete software, so I'd want to upgrade to the real version, is MISLEADIND at best.
Good thing I really love the software, just their sales practice almost made me say #@*# you.

OK
I have PhotoDirector Deluxe
I can upgrade to Ultra for $69
Um ya!!
Bad taste already for CyberLink.

Thank you for the quick response.
Does your PhotoDirector have the People Beautifier option?
That is one of the options I don't have.

Does the PowerDirector Suite contain PhotoDirector 4 Ultra or is it the basic version of PhotoDirector?
I purchased Media Suite 10 and it came with a free copy of PhotoDirector 4. A few of the editing options aren't available in the version of PhotoDirector 4 that I received. Instead of upgrading to the full blown version of PhotoDirector 4 Ultra, I thought I'd just go for PowerDirector Suite, but want to be sure the version of PhotoDirector with it is the full blown version.
